I was looking at your frame bag thinking bloody hell its bulging out a lot, maybe its flimsy? Then you pull out 15 potatoes, 4 large oranges, a bunch of bananas and a kilogram of nuts haha did you have problems with your knees hitting the bag? Im gonna get one of those apidura full frame bags i think
@@TheGoNoGoBand not that much really.. however i did do a quick write up on my blog here : cycletraveloverload.com/victoria-divide-550-bikepacking-race/ hopefully I will film other bikepacking events in future..
Thank you for talking about food storage! So many people make videos with their whole pack out and have no food!
Thank you sir, how did you do?
Still like the expedition? Looks like you have the 12l? Thinking about buying one. I'm in Vic as well
The frame bag? That’s 14L.. It did the job for awhile.. but the zip broke and now I’m in the market for a new one! I did “overload” it haha 😂
@@CycleTravelOverload I actually just returned my 12L because it stuck out so much horizontally
Good luck on the race. The gear is looking good and I hope you will manage with the bike.
Thanks.. The bike held up pretty good.. all though the 50 mm tyres were probably not wide enough for some of the sections..
I love how you packed real, nutritious, good heavy food. Smart nutrition. How did it go?
Thanks! It was good, I didn't feel exhausted from not enough nutrition. Those spuds kept me going, a great instant energy boosting snack! :)
Glad to see the old brooks, wheres the surly?
The Surly is undertaking some bike conversion... Going to post a video about it...
Wow this is really cool. I want to do this
(I love you’re setup)
Great idea on the adventure part!
How many litres is your frame pack please?? 7.5 or 12-14lt??,
I'd guess it's the 12l, but don't take my word for it.
14L
Over the Victorian Alps with no suspension; is that the way it goes these days? Best of luck with the race.
At times I wish I had some suspension to be frank.. But Thanks...
Gravel riders are crazy. There is a reason why mountainbikes were developed in the '90s.
Hello...Is your bike a gravel which you have changed according to touring bike?
Hi the kona sutra ltd is a gravel/adventure bike..
Hi Cody, are you going to do a wrap up video of your Vic Divide experience?
Hey matt that is a good idea.. i should
@@CycleTravelOverload It would be great to hear about your experience. I think I will be at the start line next year all being well.

Great bike not going to win a race but should do the trip no problem!
Never leave baked potatoes in foil at room temperature for any great deal of time. You have the chance to get Botulism which can be fatal.
