Hey. I’m a guy. I don’t have long hair. But I came here to learn how to do this because I saw a very touching video of a school bus driver who found out a students mother died and she starting braiding the girls hair. This is awesome video. Thanks for sharing.
i remember reading that story and yes, it was touching. its nice when we hear happy news rather than all the hate these days. i remember the good ole days when the media were actually journalists.. sorry. i got carried away! thank you for the nice memory. God bless you and yours.
I have never been able to do this! After watching this video, I finally can! It wasn't the best, but I can not wait to practice this technique and get it down!! Thank you!! 33 years old and I can finally put a little braid in my hair! 💖
thank you for this video! honestly I've tried so many times just to do this braid and never succeed but when I watched this video today, I've finally learned how to front row braid and it is all thanks to you!❤
I’m calling this the Lauren Conrad braid... after binge watching The Hills on Hulu recently I realize this is the braid she had in her hair a lot! 😀😆😂 Also, could you do this hairstyle inverted or Dutch style?!
To most people this is hard . The biggest braid I can do is a five string braid and it is really complicated. What she is doing is just a french braid in an exact location.
I've just turned 47 years old and this is a sad fact! Listen up to anyone who passes by. I learned to do a regular braid and a French braid, both on the same weekend. I was 6 years old! No joke! I rode horses and took lessons from an English riding instructor starting when I was 6 years old for 4 years. I ended up riding hunter-jumper going at the tallest jumps that were around 2ft, 3 and 4ft high. The point I was getting at is when we had horse shows to ride in it was our (her students) not our parents, responsibility to have our horses bathed and nipped and tucked and whiskers shaved. That included doing single small sections of plain braid for the horses' ears to their withers. The whole main then after all those little single braids we had to go back to each one and roll the braid under in sections so they ended up looking like tiny little footballs. Then the fun began. I had to stand on a bucket to reach her whole neck, but then came the tail. That always has to be in a tight French Braid from the top of the tail down to the end of the tail itself. Which usually ends as the horse's butt starts to taper into its leg. So I had a lot of experience French braiding on her. But oh my gosh if she took one step either way I had to start all over again because I was too short so the bucket was the only way to reach her and she knew it too. So we had a lot of "start all over moments". To this day I can braid anyone's hair in a room full of people, so that's great and all. But again when I was in third grade my parents had me tested and I was dyslexic. Has ALOT to do with the way our brain takes in data. Especially the fact that a person with dyslexia brain doesn't flip the mirror image correctly. Or at least not like a nondyslexic person's brain does. For the life of me I have tried my whole life to French braid my hair straight down the middle, I've tried parting my hair in the middle and trying one on each side! Nope!!!! Never have I ever been able to French braid my own hair! Everyone else's of course but not my own! But I did get something close while watching this video. It definitely helps to keep the braid itself on the front portion of my head! And watch myself in the mirror as I'm sorting the hair seems to help! 🤷🏼♀️ go figure!!! Mirror image SMH! Just figured I'd share.... and that this video got me closer than I've ever been to achieving a French braid anywhere on my head!!! Thanks so much!!!!
I have been trying to get this for years and I just never got the hang of it! All my friends have been doing it since middle school! Thank you so much for this, because I really needed help understanding that sectioning. First time I got it! In years! ❤
Thank you for posting this! I always just wear my hair up in a bun because it’s long and annoying, but I’m going to give this a shot. ❤️❤️ I wish you and your channel success!
It’s interesting, I’ve always naturally been really good at updos, techniques and styles but I’ve always been too intimidated/overwhelmed by french braids to try them.. even though I’ve sat and watched many video’s. I always walk away before I start but I’m determined to figure this out. Thanks for your very straightforward tutorial. I’ll check back when I get it right 😭
I love this tutorial. You are awesome! You are direct, talk clearly and you keep it fairly simple. This is the Best side-braid tutorial I have seen. Also wanted to say you are beautiful 😊 --I also love your eyeshadow!!
If you are still having trouble: Try laying down and hanging your hair off your bed or something like that. Some people find it easier when the hair is dangling free instead of down close to your head and face. It makes it easier to see what you are doing. Just a tip. Good luck!
Well that is thought provoking. Good looking out. My hair is insanely thick so I’ve always been too overwhelmed with keeping it grasped well enough to try this but your tip may be pretty helpful so thanks 💕
Was dying to know how to do it. I thought it was attaching all three strands to three different sections. You have explained it perfectly. Now I don't have to do just 2 pieces of hair swirled and maybe perfect this look. Gorgeous. Thank you ♡
I've been trying to do this for 2 hours, my arms hurt , my back hurts too. but, I finally succeeded. My hair is brown so I feel like I'm braiding with the light off. It's not as pretty as you, but I'm proud, I hope that with training it will improve ^^
As a beginning braider, I think your sections were too small for me to clearly see what you were doing. Thanks for the video though. It looks pretty and your hair is gorgeous. So are you, for that matter.😊
I’m same like you. When i saw other people with this. I got very frustrated and also thinking "why can i not do this" i did practiced so many times and still i fail over and over again. I hope your video will finally help me in this. I'll comment again if it works.
I’m a future barber with a 6 yr old daughter, she let me practice on her and she loves it. I’m new to this so I definitely need more practice. Thanks for uploading this 👍🏾
You lost me once you began braiding. 😄 French braids always look so nice but as someone with hair that is much thicker and wavier than yours I doubt my braids would look good anyway so I'm giving up before I even begin.
Another Tip : if you give a bit of pull on the outsides of the braid at the end it makes the braid look more puffy and makes it look like you have more and thicker hair instead of having it tightly gripped on your scalp.
3.30 in and the braid has not yet been done, just alot of talking which is a bit putting off for the video eg when you mention the cat. Its irrelevant. The hair result is nice but talk less and realise it does not take that long to do a braid. I'm here because I'm comparing the vids and results.
