Race mode improves steering, suspension stability (assumes you have PP), and shift times (manual shift mode). Disabling ESC/TC is necessary under some limited traction conditions, such as driving uphill on snow/ice. Faster not really but it does feel nice to shift and makes the car slightly more enjoyable. Only real benefit is no traction
It’s technically different mapping, it disables FCW and lessens ESC/TCS restrictions. The manual mode shifting is a bit more aggressive in Race mode. You feel quicker and I’m sure it slightly improves launches. I haven’t done confirmed 0-60 testing but will soon once I’m on new tires. I went testing it last night and my “butt dyno” says it’s quicker. Really it’s not worth it unless you need to disable traction for track days. You’ll get more benefit out of a tune, buttt since I do have it I only drive in race mode.
It will not unfortunately, but you actually don’t need the race selector for 2020+. Just go through the steps and hold past “Dynamic”, it’ll go into race
Hey guys, awesome video I went ahead and did the the multi ECU scan. It never asked me for the blue cable only for the gray cable. I went ahead and did not install the race knob because mine is a 2023 well when I got done with everything. I went ahead and put the in the race mode and it just says this feature is not available. I did use the level three race mode in the multi ECU settings do you think it’s gonna make any difference? I put it in too like I said it says on my instrument panel this feature not available press escape otherwise the car is running fine unless I try to put in a race mode, just give me that message, any ideas? Also, previously, if I would try to put it in race mode before I did any changes, it wouldn’t do anything. By the way, I used the iPhone multi ECU scan version.
@joebama6945 should ask for blue as you do the proxy. I’d attempt to go to type 2. I’m not familiar with the phone version to be honest, I’m more familiar with the computer version.

I just had a question about the ecu installing how did u reset the odometer mine is flashing I did my yesterday but I didn’t get the race mode set up I have to re do it today if I get a chance
Funny you ask, it’s open diff right now but the LSD is mechanical. We actually already have the LSD cleaned and that’ll be an upgrade in the near future
I installed sparco seats, and whenever you disconnect piece like that you need a proxy alignment. If you don’t the odometer will blink. Once we ran that proxy it fixed our seat issue.
It can, some models has DTCM issues. Mileage blinks until you get an upgrade from the dealer and some dealers won’t update it. You can still use it no issues if the blinking odometer doesn’t bug you.
33,000 people have found it useful.. and pretty straightforward. Also if you were nice you could’ve just DM’d us and we couldn’t walked you through the entire process. Like we’ve done for many other in the past, that don’t understand the process. Good luck with finding someone to pay.

@juanrivera6518 you won’t break it lol these cars are pretty solid. Welcome to the club.
Hi, do the alfa dealer also make the proxy alignments?
Thx
I’m sure they can! I’d call to be sure 👌🏽
@@ModdedMotors thank you 😎
Anytime 🙌🏽
Just want to ask 1 question. if original giulia didn't buy active suspension, can we retrofit also?
To my understanding yes, that’s a better question for Alfissimo. Try reaching out to Jason.
Did the race mode increase hp? Anything to make the Alfa faster ?🤔
Is it possible to do this with the 2.2 diesel one as well?
To my understanding, yes
@@ModdedMotors okay thank you!
How did you install the paddles? Does it void warranty?
Nope; factory part and the video should be up this week
@@ModdedMotors looking forward to it!
There is a difference between race and dynamic in power?
It’s technically different mapping, it disables FCW and lessens ESC/TCS restrictions. The manual mode shifting is a bit more aggressive in Race mode. You feel quicker and I’m sure it slightly improves launches. I haven’t done confirmed 0-60 testing but will soon once I’m on new tires. I went testing it last night and my “butt dyno” says it’s quicker. Really it’s not worth it unless you need to disable traction for track days. You’ll get more benefit out of a tune, buttt since I do have it I only drive in race mode.
Is awd disable to?
thanks for ur time♥️
Anytime! Unfortunately not, if you got to the Alfissimo website they sell a squadra dongle that should disable AWD to 2WD.
The links don’t work can you supply me with a link to the kit
Thank you for letting me know, I’ll update it. shop.alfissimo.com/switchesbuttonselectronics/1894-race-mode-kit.html
I have a 2023 and accidentally got a knob for 2019, will it work ?
It will not unfortunately, but you actually don’t need the race selector for 2020+. Just go through the steps and hold past “Dynamic”, it’ll go into race
@@ModdedMotors thanks
@@ModdedMotors what does the race mode do in the 2.0? Any change in the performance or just the differential?
Where can we find the software ?? kink no longer working
I’ll update the link but Alfissimo
Does race mode impact the shift times with paddle shifting?
It’s supposed to, I have a tune to maximize the race mode. Feels a lot more aggressive in race.
Why does the screen not say race though?
Mine does
So does this mod do something in a 2.2 multijet?
Disables traction
What's the difference with race mode vs d mode
It's technically different mapping, it disables FCW and lessens ESC/TCS restrictions. The manual mode shifting is a bit more aggressive in Race mode. You feel quicker and I'm sure it slightly improves launches. Mainly for disabling traction and quicker shifts
Website gone?
I just had a question about the ecu installing how did u reset the odometer mine is flashing I did my yesterday but I didn’t get the race mode set up I have to re do it today if I get a chance
Do you have multiecuscan? I’d do a proxy alignment
@@ModdedMotors yeah I got one
Did u need a swg bypass for it because I think I might have to
@@Nastygoodz sorry brotha, mine is 2017 and I didn’t mention that, 2018+ you need the swg bypass
It’s $59 at Eurocompulsion
Where are you guys located?
DFW, TX area!
Da come vedo non hai fatto correttamente la procedura nel modulo ABS. Nell'infotainment ti si accendono solo 2 spie anziché 4.
It’s done accurately, I just don’t have the same sensors as a Ti model.
can it drifting now?
Yes it can!
@@ModdedMotors thanks for reply. the basic Giulia 2.0 don't have LSD, right?
They do not, but I purchased a LSD for mine
Does your Alfa had LSD in the RWD?
Funny you ask, it’s open diff right now but the LSD is mechanical. We actually already have the LSD cleaned and that’ll be an upgrade in the near future
4:57 what seat issue?
I installed sparco seats, and whenever you disconnect piece like that you need a proxy alignment. If you don’t the odometer will blink. Once we ran that proxy it fixed our seat issue.
Will this work on the 2022 model????
Yes
@@ModdedMotors thank you for the quick reply!!!!
No worries at all, you can buy the kit at Alfissimo.com
Hi guys!!!! Do you have a facebook page?
We personally don’t but we actually might! We’re help moderate on a FB group called 2.0T Giulia Owners Group.
What year is your model?
2017
is this gas?
Is your car AWD or RWD ?
RWD
@@ModdedMotors Do you know if this works for Q4 ?
It can, some models has DTCM issues. Mileage blinks until you get an upgrade from the dealer and some dealers won’t update it. You can still use it no issues if the blinking odometer doesn’t bug you.
I tend to agree with the Mrs. a lot of money for little gain.

Messy confusing video. Going to have to pay some one to do this.
33,000 people have found it useful.. and pretty straightforward. Also if you were nice you could’ve just DM’d us and we couldn’t walked you through the entire process. Like we’ve done for many other in the past, that don’t understand the process. Good luck with finding someone to pay.
AUDIENCE: Skip the first 2.38 minutes and the last 3 - boring, boring.
Lack detail at 2:36” and 6:41” where on earth did those connectors came from?
Girl’s voice over dude’s is super annoying - WHY there’s two people commenting?
8:31” avoid saying “this one” and “over here”, ‘cause it’s hard to see what you’re talking about with a small laptop screen in front of you, but far from camera !
🥱
do you guys stay in florida? or cali?
We actually stay in TX!
I'm trying to install DNA RACE mode but showed me SGW REMOVE, and after that, every writing proxi data: Failed timeout error .
Could you please help me with this?
What year is yours? Do you have an SWG?
Where are u guys located? I need mine done
