Question. In American sports, does the MVP always go to a player on the winning team? Despite who is the best player in the series? No way after 4 great games can Butler get any slack, no consistent help was the problem. Butler outplayed MVP Tatum IMO
Normally yes, just like in regular season mvp normally goes to the best player on a team that won a lot of games. If two players have similar stats they normally give it to the player on the better team
It’s only happened once when Jerry West won the MVP even tho he lost but I’m sure they felt bad seeing as West lost 9 finals maybe it was a pity award? I don’t know his stats in the series he won it. The only time I felt a losing team should have won the MVP would have been LeBron in 2015 against the warriors. Iguadola basically won the award because he was “defending” LBJ even tho LBJ averaged a 40 point triple double in those finals.
“Ran out of gas in the 4th quarter” 🤔 well according to Skip logic if ur LeBron of course, the first 3 dominant quarters don’t matter. It’s all about the 4th and the game leading/potentially winning shot which he missed so his entire game is a total failure…..

Skip freaking out about this is hilarious because the same exact thing happened in the nets series AGAINST the Celtics, didn’t hear any complaints then
I love Jimmy but he was definitely playing hero ball with that last shot. They didn’t need a 3 a 2 would have tied and they may have went into overtime
Last time jimmy made a 2 late in the 4th kawhi made a buzzer beating 3. He was def gassed from playing the entire game and prob wanted to go for the win. Horford was playing good defense for a drive so pulling up wasnt a bad decision just a bit too rushed, if he got his feet set he maybe makes it. Cant really fault him for that with how much he had to carry just for em to get to game 7
Jimmy should’ve drove but hindsight is 20/20. All of his midrange fadeaways and pull up jumpers just put a smile on my face. The midrange game is refreshing to see in todays league
I cant blame Jimmy for taking that shot to be honest. The man played all 48 minutes and was physically done at that point. He would've had little to no energy in OT
welp the media got what they wanted, celtics vs warriors finals. now they better hope it doesn’t end in a finals sweep or gentlemen’s sweep. celtics shouldn’t be proud of beating a limping franchise by 4 points. the only impressive series they had was sweeping the nets
Did the media really want Celtics-Warriors though? Cuz for most of the ECF, ESPN and FS1 was doing nothing but focusing on Miami and when it came time to talk about Boston, especially when they won, it was like it hurt them to even give any sort of praise. Also I think they really wanted Phoenix back in the finals so when Dallas won, talking about the WCF also hurt because it was obvious Golden State would win. So this was not the match-up the media wanted at all
Congratulations Boston Celtics milwaukee bucks Miami Heat deserve some credit making Boston Celtics Go game 7 losing never good but Milwaukee bucks Miami Heat was fighting back with Boston Celtics Brooklyn Nets only team that never did fight with Boston Celtics

Thats a tough situation to be in even as the home team. I supposed being up 1 is better than being tied but driving the ball wouldve at least got jimmy to the line in my opinion. Just a safer option
True but Al Horford is a really good rim protector, and all the adrenaline of going for the win was prolly in Jimmy’s mind. Jimmy is good at getting contact and possibly getting to the line, but since it’s the playoffs it might’ve been a no call. As a Heat fan, I can live with him taking that shot.

0:29 watch the moment Shannon is joking around than Skip starts off with his high pitched meltdown tone of voice. Shannon’s face instantly changes 😂
Get them dews ready skip
I don’t even fault jimmy butler at all he’s deserves props but if other people take and miss that shot they get ripped on if tatum misses that shot it’s “he’s just not a superstar” not consistent in criticism at all
After last night I respect tf ouda jimmy and i wont hold this year against him
And that’s why pippen benching himself was justified when Phil had kukoc take the 3…..although it worked lol
They didn't even give an explanation for Max Strus heel out of bounds play
Bc the nba wanted the heat to lose
Cause they would have still lost without it happening
Don't sleep on Jimmy Butler... He'll be back. Thanks JB
He jus gave jimmy an excuse for his 3pt % but smashed lebron and his numbers are better while taking more shots lol
Skip about to ride that Strus call for decades to come
That's going up there with "Two intergalactic hand from God field goals"
Shannon can’t lie always comin in clean with the suits mayun def got good taste with the suits
Shannon always high on life
Finals will be a battle between defense vs offence. To settle the debate of whether defence or offence is supreme.
Not the watered down green suit. 😂 skip is a fool
"Jimmy or Bustler" with Skip always does it 😄
Skip freaking out about this is hilarious because the same exact thing happened in the nets series AGAINST the Celtics, didn’t hear any complaints then
I love Jimmy but he was definitely playing hero ball with that last shot. They didn’t need a 3 a 2 would have tied and they may have went into overtime
They would’ve got smoked in OT, and I’m sure Jimmy wasn’t trying to play 50+ minutes.
@@northside4767 well since Jimmy made a dumb decision now he has the next few months to rest. Good job.
True
Jimmy's so underrated
Man don't play wit Jimmy. How yall gone say jb can't take the last shot like wat bro carried the team. Thank u Shannon for having his back
Deciding factor was bam I never seen the biggest dude on the court stink up the game so badly, he literally cost them the game
“yep yep YEP YEP “ skip is hilarious 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
welp the media got what they wanted, celtics vs warriors finals. now they better hope it doesn’t end in a finals sweep or gentlemen’s sweep. celtics shouldn’t be proud of beating a limping franchise by 4 points. the only impressive series they had was sweeping the nets
So this was not the match-up the media wanted at all
Media wanted LAL vs BKN preseason then MIL or Phi vs Phx or Memphis very small percentage in the media had GS or BOS let alone BOTH making a final
2:55 just so much truth it has me reeling
Congratulations Boston Celtics milwaukee bucks Miami Heat deserve some credit making Boston Celtics Go game 7 losing never good but Milwaukee bucks Miami Heat was fighting back with Boston Celtics Brooklyn Nets only team that never did fight with Boston Celtics
Skip so mad he just had to attack Shannon for that suit lol
If you're mad at, or don't like that Jimmy Butler shot that he missed at the end, you just don't know basketball.
word
Facts
Sorry man there was 20 secs left, only down two, and its jimmy taking an off balance pull up 3. Why not drive for the two, it was already a fast break? Im cool with jimmy shooting it, but just not that shot.
@@keyarea7533 "off balance?" What were you watching? That was a textbook, uncontested three, good height of his jump, with Horford back peddling to play the drive. He just missed it. In that situation, I'm taking that shot 100% of the time.
@@gatormark its off the dribble and hes leaning. Honestly its not the shot as much as its whos shooting and the timing of it. its not jimmy game and at least if he drives he couldve gotten to a spot hes more comfy with.
😆 Skip will protect a player he loves all day
That wasn’t “Jimmy Buckets” who shot the ball… that was “Jimmy Bricks”
Let's go Celtics by the way I love the green suit
Their chemistry is super fire lol
Now shannan is a Celtics fan
The team with the better health won. Period. That's why load management isn't so bad after all. Especially for the star players who carries their teams.
How spo can explain playing jimmy 48 minutes idk. Gime him rest for 5 mins jesus this team is asscrack spo is overrated lets hope pat riley can get another star in the offseason or this team is doomed to mediocre playoff runs. Jimmy neess help and kyle lowry bam herro duncan strus aint it get embid or mitchell
The problem with going so long before taking them points away is your playing a certain way and taking different risks and shots based off the score.
I mean every hooper knows if your home you go for the tie, if your away you go for the win. Jimmy shouldve went for the tie and a potential foul. He just had a big finish over Horford (maybe alil push off but hes at home). Let say he makes that shot and they are up one. My celtics wouldve gotten the last shot and didnt need a 3.
But the Heat had already lost two of three games to the Celtics in Miami, so it was virtually like they were away.
@@phillipschuman4307 perhaps you’re right. But there was a no call in Jimmy’s armbar layup i figured he could give that a go one more time with the game on the line. Ima Celtics fan and im glad they won but im also a bigger fan for good basketball if that makes sense
@@TheBoiRusty Horford is good but Jimmy has been living in the paint not only in this series but all season lol. There maybe a no call but i think Jimmy had a good chance of tying the game. Like i said i think he broke a cardinal rule going for the 3 at home but i see your point
@@antoinerogers2692 Yea I mean, I think it’s common sense for any player to try to tie and take it to the hole. But Jimmy was fatigued af, and he hit a transition 3 earlier in the game too along with game 7 atmosphere. They’ll be back next year, but the Heat desperately need a pure scorer cuz 4th quarter offense was so hard to watch.
That man was tired last night he tried a game winner cause he knew he would be gassed in overtime. I don’t blame the guy
Why does skip hate on the celtics so much but he loves every other Boston team im confused!
Or does he d ride the best team in league for each sport
Celtics swept Jordan multiple times in the first round so it makes sense lmao 💀
If Jimmy had to play very min in the game means he had no help , Tatum got the mvp but if it was not for smart and al , they would be at home right now .
Lets goooooooo Celtics 🏀💚🔥
Uncle look Clean and tht suit 👨⚖️
That suit is 🔥 📛 👨🚒 🚒 shannon
Everyone in the community saying it's a bad shot its a open 3 in transition with a guy who's been making those 3s all playoffs horford is a good and smart defender and if u slow it down boston has been elite defensivly
how is he making all those 3s but was only shooting 23%😭😭😭
He made some good 3s in game 6 and 7 but that was not a good shot
@@MonnieGoCrazy regular season stats dont apply to playoff stats cmon man thats just casual behavior to not doing any research he shooting league average from deep this post season but if u don't count game 4 and 5 in which he was injured and averaged 9 ppg that 3 point percentage goes up to above average
@@iuhoosiers14 good shot for any other superstar but jimmy butler argument i assume? It's a wide open pull up jumper
I hope they beat the warriors.
I just love it when the notifications “some one liked your comment” or “you got a new subscribers” it makes me happy ❤️
u clown lame channels spam cus no 1 wants 2 watch y9 content get a life 😤 😭
That suit is SHARP Shannon (see what I did there) ☘️☘️☘️
With like 15 seconds left i just yelled "Jimmy is hitting whatever he puts up" and then he pulled up and my heart stopped and then i jumped up and screamed "don't turn it over" and Smart got fouled and i just knew he wasn't gonna choke under the pressure. Then seeing Horford go nuts was great since he always so professional.
interestingly, jimmy hit a game winning jumpshot against the cs when he was on the sixers
Respecttttt my Celtics. We took the hardest road and smoked everyone. LGI. RESPECT MY COACH
Smart the Closer? I chuckled when I heard that.
Stop the smart slander lmfao all those shots were wide open and he is very capable of hitting those always take the open shot Tatum and brown were getting doubled
I wanted Jimmy to lace that 3 so badly
That suit FLY Unc!
Shannon's outfit is dope! 👍🕺🏾
Skip and Shannon never actually touch knuckles 😂😂😂😂
Don't have a problem with Butlers shot..just thought he rushed it he had 16 secs left he could have taken another second to gather himself and shoot but he missed and CELTICS won....on to the FINALS baby!!!
The way Skip coins these names 😀😀😀
