What is there to say? I think the Celtics shooting 88.6% in the 4th quarter helped the most. It doesn't really matter who you're playing, if you make 9 of 12 three's in the 4th you're probably going to win. Absolutely mind-blowing performance

if you make 6 out of 7 threes in the first half, you should be up by a wide margin. But no, the Celtics stayed in the game, they keep on trailing. Until they find the right moment in the fourth when the GS kept leaving Al for wide open shots.

It was a great game and you have to be impressed with the Celtics' resolve.

In one quarter, the Celtics not only negated the whole “inexperience” thing, but also raised the question if the Warriors rested too long.
They looked shook when that fourth quarter hit. They completely collapsed. It was embarrassing to watch how many defensive and offensive lapses golden state had in the 4th quarter and exposed the holes they have…
They relied too much on Steph and no one other than Wiggins went along for the ride to carry the offense; Draymond shot way too much and frankly was a liability both offensively and defensively. He didn’t orchestrate the offense well, shot terribly, and even his defense wasn’t that great to overcome those lapses.
Poole was an absolute liability on both ends. This game was bad all around. If GSW pulls off a series win it’ll be in 7 but Celtics clearly have the upper hand rn

Half of the fourth quarter. GSW were trading basket for basket in thr beginning. Poole and Otto were the liabilities defensively. Celtics also were making miraculous shots, I mean career and season highs for multiple people? Some nights you shake the other teams hand. Celtics won't do that again though, GUAR-AN-TEED! @@chapchap5818 he didn’t have a great game but he had a good one. And the difference is that JT still kept shooting and forcing the defense to commit to guarding him at the perimeter. With Simmons he refused to look like he was even interested in scoring so they could play off and cut off Philly’s offensive sets and rotations. It’s why coaches tell you to “stay active on offense” even when you can’t find your shot because best case scenario you start hitting them and worst case you become a decoy and help create easier shot opportunities for your teammates

Warriors got a taste of their own medicine. They been on the other end so many times that when 3's fall for the other team it is just strange. Also, Boston through beating the Nets, Bucks and Heat are more battle tested on their trip to the finals than the warriors. Warriors played a depleted Nuggets and Grizzlies teams. Then a one man show in Luka and the Mavs. Warriors didn't face a complete team like Boston did with beating out the Bucks and the Heat. This finals Series is going to be one for the books.

This argument will only hold true if Boston wins this series. I would expect GS to shorten up their rotation after watching that second rotation squander two leads during the game. Once Boston couldn't miss a 3 it was pretty much over for the Warriors. Any team that gets that hot from the 3 point line and makes 9 of them in a finals game in the 4th quarter is going to win.

I told everyone that Boston was the only team that could match and beat the warriors, especially when it came to defense. When Boston beat them in the regular season at home I knew Boston was going to be a problem. Everyone thought it was over, I thought it was over but that 4th quarter was magnificent by Boston.

@@realnsenpai It doesn't matter if they lead or trail, they have the defensive capacity to make stops an overcome 15 to 20 point leads. They can manage the tempo of the game better, and they are the bigger team. GS came out fast put up good numbers an fizzled late when they face a team that's more defensive. Boston is the only team in the league capable of handling GS warriors offensively and defensively. They match up better with GS, and aren't one dimensional like other teams that GS has faced. They are also not intimidated by GS, or deflated once they get a big lead, an Boston has the better coach, who is more defensive minded than GS coach. Their only weakness is home games, they are stronger on the road than at home.

After curry had that great 1st quarter and Celtics were still in it, I had a feeling they’d lose.
What Shannon is saying doesn't make sense too. When Ja Morant had a triple double on bad efficiency, Shannon called it a Russel Westbrook esque triple double and said he didn't play well even though Memphis won despite it. Whereas when players he likes like Giannis & Tatum do the same (infact Tatum did worse because he didn't even get 10+ rebounds), Shannon gives it a B pm saying they had a good game.

I could actually see Celtics winning Gm 2 on Sunday. Then they'll lose one of the home games as they are 5-4 at home which is still above 50-50. Then they finish the series in 5 in San Fran. Win Gm 1, 2, 4, & 5.

Al Horford played amazing, but that one bucket by Jalen Brown sticks in my head. It was a midrange jumper, from somewhere near the foul line.
There was something about that, where you just were like, I better play close attention here, something seems to be happening.

I'm a Warriors fan and agree this is what Boston wanted to do. They want to take out the rest of the cast and are perfectly ok singling up Steph. The Warriors are very good at making adjustments from game to game so it will be interesting to see what they counter with. I bet Kerr shortens up his rotations for one but the supporting cast needs to get more baskets.
