The SD75i is my favourite CN engine since the 90s... growing up with the classic Canadian cab hoods and getting to see the last of the MLWs on the road in my younger years, the SD75s were just a fresh new thing with their smooth engines and awesome looking cab. I'm really glad they're getting rebuilt, and they kept the classic cab (unlike the CP SD90 rebuilds to SD70ACU)!
Did you grow-up in Canada? I grew-up along the same line this video was filmed., which was Soo Line and Wisconsin Central EMD power, typically regular cabs.
Hi Rugby Junction & it's is Randy and i like yours video is Cool & Thanks Rugby Junction & Friends Randy & Super Cool & Video & CN 8300 EMD SD75IACC Thanks Rugby Junction & Good Friends Randy
They really don’t look all that different than their as delivered counterparts. Really the only visual differences you’d see is the extended height box on the roof behind the cab, PTC equipment, aboriginal stickers, and marker lights.
I rebuilt these here in Muncie. Cool to see them moving now. We are currently full of these SD70IACC rebuilds
The next four units had passed by me (Rugby Junction on CN Waukesha Sub), but unfortunately in the early morning hours. They looked sharp!
out of curiosity, why do u guys move the battery boxes behind the inverter instead of keeping it where it was before?
Awesome catch! Interesting sounding e-bell
I like the new rebuilt sd75i acc but yes the horn really sounds different. Some old alco horns sound like that too. Great videos

@@RugbyJunction yes in northwestern New Brunswick more precisely (accross the river from Northern Maine) 😎🇨🇦
@@RugbyJunctionare the specs of the rebuilt SD75s different from the original? What advantages do the rebuilds have?
Great catches and awesome video
Great catch thanks for posting

Nice Video did you see the L249 too
Call me crazy but do i here a electric bell on that CN 8300 or thats the crossing gates?😮
youre correct, its an ekyrail ebell
@@NorthStar55C1 sounds better than an ebell
God that e-bell on the 8300 sounds hideous!
Those e-bells are god-awful, but the locomotive itself looks fantastic.
Whenever I hear those e-bells, which are common on the Wisconsin Southern SD60Ms that roam these same rails, I keep thinking Santa Claus is coming! 🤣
Does anyone know what make and model they are?
I’m glad to see that those locomotives are getting a new lease on life and not being sent to the scrapyard.
What is the length of those locomotives?
I’m sad that they are being rebuilt
Why is that? They're getting a new lease on life.
@@RugbyJunction true, it’s just that they are going on 25+ years of service and when they get rebuilt, they loose all that history
@@YourLocalRailfan ur lucky they arent being deadlined or sold off / scrapped
@@BalloonBugle88 true that

Maybe but your AI
