Hopefully you did !! the Sold Out Show at the Turf Club in St. Paul was out of the Universe in its quality and earnestness and to see Audrey live drumming was worth more than the price of admission...... such an overlooked and underrated band.......their live performance was so good it truly was indescribable one of those you had to be there moments
I put off listening to anything from this album because my expectations for La Luz are so high... but when I finally put the record on this past weekend, I breathed a sigh of relief--and danced my butt off. Major props to the rhythm section for really bringing their A+++ game on this record!
Floating Features was previously my favorite La Luz, however, News of the Universe looks like it is now my favorite La Luz, the album's artwork and the song/video for "Strange World" are the band at their most psychedelic!

Lemme be the first to give kisses 💋💋💋 to Alice and Lena two of my favorites you will always be missed 💔 ....... Alice has a wonderful following and you can sign up for her email blogs which are enlightening and maybe gives her more freedom to be clear of La Luz in the meantime what I'm hearing from Ms. Cleveland's new lineup including one of the best female drummers on the planet in Audrey Johnson is outstanding and will have this on repeat listen for the next hour or so So far it's definitely a polished step above previous and that can be construed as both good and bad because I'm sure there are those like me that enjoyed the rough live sound especially the live Iceland sessions ! Nonetheless this first track is absolutely mesmerizing, well produced, Shana's vocals are impeccable as always and having a world class drummer should shine new light on a band which has its sight on the future Lovin this first release and looking forward to La Luz's new future! And Hell I was a bicycle messenger at one point in my life so another kudos for the paper delivery gal :) :)
I managed to figure out Shana's birth date so I could look at her astrology, since all her music resonated so strongly for me. Lo and behold - we both have Aquarius Sun and Mercury! I found La Luz through Shana and love the group too! 😁❤♒️✨️ To me - this *so* strongly resonates with the current transit of Pluto into Aquarius! For aprox. the next 20 years, Aquarius and other fixed sign placements are undergoing a big transformation. (Early placements will feel it first) Definitely a strange world, but "you'll be fine, just take your time, whichever way you go!" There's a lot of Aquarius placements that needed to hear that, myself included! Thank you! ❤❤❤
