Michael has always been Lucifers younger twin brother. Jealous of his older brother being more beloved by their father, as well as Lucifers power and authority being Heavens second in command. Then during Lucifers rebellion Michael spoke their fathers true name and gained greater power than his brother and used that to defeat Lucifer. Michael now fills the station that Lucifer once had, but he's not as good at it due to being made as a warrior while Lucifer was made to be a leader. Michael doesn't want Lucifer to return to Heaven and reclaim his spot and will do whatever he can to prevent Lucifers return.
@@leebulger7112 one reason why Lucifer rules Hell is cause he was the most powerful of Gods angelic children. God needed someone to rule Hell and be the judge and Inquisitor of the worst humanity has.
@@ChasoGod You are right but the circumstances of how Lucifer became King of Hell usually are not pleasant like the Hazbin Hotel, some parts of the Bible I think and especially Paradise Lost that made Lucifer more sympathetic. So I think it would be cool that in the future of the show Lucifer and Sera at least meet and reconcile with each other.
I picture Sera as once being a nanny for the archangel princes and princesses, which Lucifer used to be part of. Michael lost a brother, and Sera lost the child she raised.
You know if her name was spelled Sarah it would be the name of the supposed daughter of Jesus and Mary Magdalen, meaning she would be a granddaughter of God and niece of Michael and Lucifer.

I like the idea of Michael, acting as lead angel, being the one who's all "we need to continue to leading Heaven, no time for mourning our fallen brother" while inside he's just as broken by the loss as everyone else.
Imagine Michael being a serious and tense antagonist who would make Charlie have to look at other points of view to defeat him, being a great ideological challenge for her.
