I've noticed how each of the Diamonds represent the different ways people react to losing a loved one:
-Blue Diamond becomes utterly depressed, Visiting Pink's palanquin, keeping the zoo even if it was of no use to her, getting emotional every time she hears even a mention of Pink.
-Yellow Diamond feels the exact same way but shows it much differently. She tried to remove that anger and sadness by removing everything left of pink. Convincing blue to get rid of the zoo, trying to act as if the planet earth had never even existed, basically trying really hard to move on from Pink's loss. She always comforts blue because, at the end of the day, she feels exactly the same way blue does.
- White Diamond basically shuts herself away. Isolating herself, Separating herself from the other diamonds, maybe to hide her own grief. After all, she is supposed to be this perfect, flawless figure and didn't want to show anyone her grief of pink. If she wasn't perfect, who was she?
In the end it's Blue who wanted to hold on to her, Yellow who wanted to push her away, and White who wanted to block everyone out entirely.
Really makes you think.

Grief comes in many forms; some people ignore it, others pang over it for years and never truly get over it, then there's those that hide it or pretend it never happened, like the person is just on one long vacation.
:,) I personally ignore it or pretend it never happened - I'm very self conscious about admitting this because in retrospective to what I grieve over, I lost someone too like the diamonds, and I feel like some people think I'm weird? I mean, how can you just just kind of forget someone ever existed?
ignoring it isn't healthy, but I don't think never getting over it is either - Like constantly talking about it for dozens of years just mentally drains you and makes it worse.

imo most of the people here are circle jerking as if yellow's response is the unhealthy response. interpreting yellow as if she wants blue to feel numb. if you actually listen to what yellow is saying, it's the healthiest response of all of them. obviously, everyone grieves in their own way - but yellow is the only one that actually learns that you should let go. that you should be looking forwards, and not back. obviously this taken to an extreme is unhealthy, but yellow shows no signs (during this song) of having an unhealthy response. she merely asks what the use of feeling blue is, given the context that blue is still depressed. yellow is being nothing but helpful here - and the response from some of the people in these comments shows how people are conditioned to feel worse nowadays. treat yourself better. this is a really good song though

After the recent steven universe episodes, this song feels deeper and you can really feel how yellow regrets what happened and is trying to desperately move forward. Of course this is how the song has always felt but now I just love it more.

I do agree with you that this is supposed to be Yellow's song, honestly I have no idea why people think it's Blue's or at least show Blue's pictures on their covers or videos. Maybe coz Yellow sang it to Blue and it was a song singing-talking to her, but idk. The beauty of this song is that it shows Yellow's way of coping with Pink's death (and Rose's birth/upcoming), not looking back on it and trying to shutting out Pink to help ease the pain. But yeah.

So the way I see it, it’s “What’s the use of feeling, blue?”. Yellow diamond is singing this song, and after pink died, yellow only wanted to get rid of pink’s stuff and anything that reminded her of pink. She basically shut out all of her sadness and anger and became numb. This song is yellow asking blue why she wants feel so many confusing, heart-breaking emotions when she could just feel nothing at all.
