It might like Rick and Morty but the Big Bang Theory is pretty crap. Not as crap as two and a half men. I remember watching that as a kid and being insulted by how stupid the kid character was. It felt almost like racism to me. Anyway Silicon Valley is really good. If you want nerdy but intelligent humour.

Yeah, their VR titles were kinda fun. Since it's more tolerable to have the same joke for a 20 minute experience than for 3 or 4 hours with an extra of overwhelming colors, light and bullshit. And this game only joke was "Justin improvs the same joke forever", although putting a full movie in the game was kinda based.
Someone in chat said it best "this game makes me feel like someone on the spectrum that's overwhelmed by stimulus". Fucking hell not even Pippa could save this game.
This was painful to watch, can't imagine how Pippa was feeling.
Goddamnit. It's programmed well. It has a certain sense of humour. If you don't like it you don't like it. But people said the same thing about Beavis and Butthead and South Park back in the day. Though this humour feels less timeless I admit. I think Justin Roiland captures the absurdity of the world we live in today. Like Beavis and Butthead captured the absurdity of its time and the MTV generation. Justin kind of captures the very ADD, shitposty, overstimulated and perverted nature of the internet.

@@alfonzom6 Of course, and that's why it has very positive on steam (5k positive against 500 negative). It would be more true if you said some people didn't like it. You just like it or you don't, but in no way is it "Almost everyone didn't like it" .
Obvously it's not for everyone, it's more niche. People who doesn't like RaM, would most likely not like this game, and even many people who like the show, would not like the game, but most of the people who did buy it, like the game.
On open critics it has 69%, on metacritics it has 68% and 7,7 by players, that's still means Most of the people who played it, liked it, in some way.
This is the closest thing I've seen to controversy in a Pippa comment section.

Really if you ask me this game needs an ‘overdose’ mode where everything that can talk does so simultaneously and metal music plays over top of it. Also should randomly switch between color palettes. Layer on commentary and you’d have the perfect stream.

It's literally written by one of the creators. And yes the first few seasons were pretty good. I had friends who kept watching it and then left in favour of Bojack Horseman. But I still liked the first seasons. I was a brony too for a while. I guess I have an eye for things that blow up on the internet and becomes cringe.

Streaming is great because you get to say the quiet part out loud. Really loud. Don't tell me you're over 25 and have never been in a situation / meeting that made you wanna react exactly like her.

The only good thing about this game I've seen so far is Zach participating in it, but the writing made even that not very good.
When I heard Zach's voice, I immediately felt like how he described seeing Norm Macdonald in Real Rob on his old podcast sleepycabin.
I watched it.. I felt so bad for Pippa.. and everyone in chat.. the movie and her rage was the only good parts lol

Did Roiland get to write his own dialogue for this game? Because knowing video games typically pay by the line for VAs, I 100% believe he was handed the basic script and he rewrote it to be about 1000x longer.

dont. its really stressful because pippa keeps talking over the game and the game keeps talking over pippa. there is constantly 2 or 3 different levels of noise and all the blinking lights and bright colors create an audiovisual mess.

The first season of R&M was funny the first time I watched it. And only the first time.
To actually pick up on her "Why do people like this?"-rant unironically(tm): Obviously the main appeal of this game is the "humour" - and I think in the greater scheme of things the main appeal of this kind of hyper-ironic "amirite guys" humour is that it plays into the social fears of the average person. Every joke seems to be about confirming yourself as in line what is socially acceptable and at the times where this kind of humour takes more bizarre turns it really feels like a deep-seated paranoid complex about being perceived as "the cool kid" (which feels a cringy way to put it but I can't cone up with anything better rn)
in other words the entire game was make to make the player cringe and feel uncomfortable playing it
so the only people that are capable to like it are incapable of having fun or are sadists that force others to play this game

Rick and Morty in general mixes in alot of experience of how the internet works and fictional tropes. And neurotic sexual stuff. Alot of Rick and Morty seems inspired by the idea that expressing something can have a cleansing effect. The psychological term for this is "sublimation". They're like improvisational jazz fusion metalheads trying to get all of that gross, frustrating, and taboo emotions out in their chosen form of expression. Like John Zorn. But not as bloody or horrific.
I feel sick again watching this vod. Maybe it's not motion sickness that causes the nausea...

On a level, I can understand Pippa, thou I don't know how was the game. Rick and Morty started okayishly, even having some good moments, but than went full on with the childish humor and a lot of dumb things.
They probably didn't want to be known as the "high IQ" show.
@@DiveBombRebel Yah. Not a surprise based on how 'fans' reacted. Emotional and deep moments overlooked. When Rick was about to commit suicide. Everyday struggles, problems, so on. Moments like pickle Rick and the like, drunken rampages are cherished. It's just low iq humor mixed with action scenes. Cool, once in a while okay. But they made the whole show about scenes like that.
They switched off emotional growth and the seriousness, to barf humor.

I feel 13 year old Pippa would have have loved this game whereas now not so much. Biggest problem with this game in particular is very much like Kiara she's very big on chat interaction despite what she's playing, and this entire game is a nonstop barrage of noise. Even as chaotic and loud as the GTA games are they give you a moment to breath in between the heavy dialect.
I feel like this game just isn't compatible with streaming, specially high-cadence speakers like Pippa, end up talking over each other all the time and can't enjoy either.
