Oh Greg Laurie- just saw Jesus Revolution. My heart soared when Greg rode the bike after his baptism and broke when the boy looked out his car window and cried. This could be the best movie I have ever seen. It was about more than our generation. It was about life. May people be blessed by the movie.

"Jesus Revolution" was a reunion of emotions/memories of my wife's and my time at CCCosta Mesa (1973-1976). We were baptized at Pirate's Cove by Chuck . . .one on each arm at the same time!! Our first two children were dedicated there. MARANATHA!

We are experiencing that tangible presence of God in our home here in Missouri. I’m not into hype but I am anticipating and welcome whatever this filling up will bring. We have been surprised when we put aside social media distractions, how quickly and intimately He draws near when we pick up our Bibles and pray.
Just saw Jesus Revolution! It was a sold out theatre. I loved the movie. The Gospel was preached so simply over and over again.

Thanks Pastor Greg, fantastic movie. Thanks! My wife Cathy and I took some teens to go see it. We thought the movie was very good, however, Regal movie theaters have totally gone woke and watching their previews and commercials, for about 25 minutes before the movie itself started, was a terrible experience. We recommend people go into the theater 20 minutes after the scheduled time. We are buying tickets for other kids too.
My husband and I experienced the exact same thing. We hadn’t been to a theater in a long time. Well actually, we did go see the recent movie about the Rapture. But before that it had been a very, very long time. Most movies are pretty much garbage, we were shocked by the previews and the ridiculousness of movies that are out there now in the form of previews. But this movie was fantastic!
Lord, help me to humble myself and always pray. May I always recognize that repentance is an ongoing practice and not a one-time deal . In Jesus' name. Amen
Humility isce@entisl, and kerping your eyes on Him, not leaders. Read that Bible, totally, not others' ideas about it or predigested Bible Studies. Let Scripture answer/explain itself.
I was at tent meetings.. I remember walking in with no shoes on and we all were focusing on Jesus and his love

I saw the movie last night. It brought back the magic and beauty of that time in my life when I excepted Jesus Christ in 1977 at an event with Greg Laurie and Keith Green. This morning, God led me to this two-part teaching. I knelt And ask God to revive me. It is time for us to harvest what’s left in the fields, so that he can return and take us home. Maranatha!
I was also saved during the J Revolution in 77. Have returned to my first love and it is the happiest I have been in four decades
I am in my mid 70s and have been praying for revival again. If only pride and power struggles did not spoil it. Nothing can spoil it if we keep our eyes on Jesus from that moment on. "Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus" when trying times come, cling to Him; He really does care for you.

Thank you for opening your heart, humbling yourself and coming to Jesus in the late 60s! My parents were saved as part of the Jesus movement, and I was taught the truth & the one way because God worked in y'all in the 70s. I gave my heart to Jesus in the 80s when I was a child. I believe we do live in similar times, and I am praying that God will bring revival to our country again. I want revival in my own heart!! Jesus is the only way!

Very well remember going to church in the 70s. Every seat would be filled, and many people seated on folding chairs in the aisles. This was every Sunday

What a relief. I have waited and longed for this for 40 years, almost to the day
My girlfriend and I watched JR in the theater today. In the middle of the movie a man began to cough pretty seriously, he finally fell down and crashed into our seats. Two ladies rushed over and asked if he needed help and he said water please. Then he belches out "no more alcohol" and folded his hands on our seat. I grabbed his hands and the lady put her hand on his shoulder, and my girlfriend the other shoulder. We all prayed for this man and held him for a few minutes. And then He looked at me with such peace and went back to his seat. We finished the movie and it was a beautiful experience
We can pray for it, but it has to be the Holy Spirit that decides, because we may mess things up, but God’s timing is perfect. 😇🌏😇

Yes, i need to watch it again. I got a bit confused at times. I think too much went to the cutting floor, but time is time. Maybe they should have had it on a TV network like a 2 part documentary. That would have reached more people, i think.

Not sure what's going on in Asbury, but I find it interesting that it occurred at the same time as the Jesus Revolution movie. A distraction perhaps, not sure, but I do know the Jesus movement was the real deal...gold standard. I was a sailor in San Diego in the early 80's and found myself at Horizon Christian Fellowship with pastor Mcintosh. It was a beautiful time in my life. I listened to KWave as well with many great pastors/teachers like Greg. Thank you for the years of encouragement over the airways.

@@BrianNickens The true revival which Greg was a part of was the fruit of the preaching of God's word. Correct me If I'm wrong...I haven't seen any preaching and therefore a response to the preaching of the word. Singing and emotional experiences are NOT what I consider "revival".
@@moonpaws1 There has been preaching of the Word at Asbury, I encourage you to watch some footage brother/sister in Christ😊 The preaching isn't super long however, but it certainly was an important part of the revival! Singing is one way we express our love for God! It's all over Psalms. As for emotional experiences, the Holy Spirit can touch our emotions causing us to weep, repent, cry and even "feel" His presence. All past revivals throughout history had emotional experiences! When the presence of God is in the room, you can't help but feel emotional. ❤❤❤

Lord, give us a revolution of (spiritual) Maturity. 😁 That requires some serious biblical preaching, and forsaking sin in our lives.
Also, I liked videos of Billy Graham’s old sermons (before 1980’s); he was a “straight shooter.” I respect a spiritual leader who cares but also who doesn’t mince words. Greg Laurie does a decent job.

I WAS THERE IN A COUPLE OF TENT REVIVALS back then! I carried my Bible to high school… Greg you laid hands on and prayed for my whole family, you baptized me in the Yucaipa River! We crossed paths several times! The scene of you under the water was my real experience! I laid there I saw the light shining through the water, I wanted to absorb everything God had for me! You pulled me up thinking something was wrong, are you alright you asked? I said absolutely! I wanted to absorb EVERYTHING HE HAD FOR ME! We are TODAY in a Jesus Revival RIGHT NOW! AMAZING MOVIE as your life was touched on and exposed eloquently… I LOVED THIS! I’ve never met Cathe, came close many times but it just didn’t happen! I’m looking forward to meeting her one day… God Bless You Both as you do Gods Work! Again… I LOVED THIS MOVIE! I needed this sermon i was doing good i wanted to learn more about God but my phone started distracting me way to much and got into a bad habit please Lord give me revival give me strength to heal and give me peace and comfort to humble myself and pray and seek you in your name Jesus amen

Pastor Greg, I just watched the movie Jesus Revolution today and could totally relate to your characters feelings of elation at being born again. I was a teenager during that time but didn't come to know Jesus until 1985. God's timing I guess. I've been listening to your 2 part series on revival and learning about what makes a revival happen and what it takes in me. Have listened to you over the years. You have a distinctive voice. Yes, we can have revival...but only if leaders stop marginalizing the people who are the catalysts of revival (Lonnie Frisbee, Randy Clark, etc).
The instruments of God's power are never completely welcome, even in places where they should be.
To have revival we must be willing to let God's Spirit take the lead in ways that do great damage to our reputations, in ways the flesh will never accept.
Great men of God, with great ministries, great impacts and great anointing could not take the heat for all the things God has desired to do.
For God has chosen the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, and the weak things of the world to shame the strong. His power is made perfect in weakness.
But great men of God have been ashamed of God's weakness

I am wondering.. Out of the 8 billion people on earth, couldn't they have found Christian actors to portray the actual Christians? We won't view this movie due to the poor choices made. It seems as if it is all about the money. So very sad!
The biggest hindrance to Revival today is the prolific amount of FALSE teaching within the Church today.
There are many people trying to water down Christ's message, ignore parts of the Bible they don't like, or who are trying to mix and integrate political views which by definition should be considered Satanic.
As long as that is happening most of those people practicing and teaching others those things are not in revival. They will show up on judgement day saying "LORD, Lord... Look at everything I said I was doing in your name!" Jesus stated that he will deny and cast out people who come tryingbto do that.
