Being female and Protestant, I found this an interesting insight into the role of my gender in the body of Christ. is it prejudice that i prefer listening to male pastors, though female SS teachers are my preference in that area? I feel no guilt, no admonition from the Lord against my position, so unless He clubs me over the head and changes my mind, I'm so close to my home-going, I'll likely remain where I am until my death.
    Thank you for your efforts!

You're welcome; and thanks for your comment. Your attentiveness to God's will and your self-confidence in the path to which God has called you are beautiful! I do believe there is cultural conditioning that affects our outlooks and preferences about these things. Many women who are called to various forms of Christ's ministry do feel clubbed over the head by God to pay attention to this special calling before they will dare to go up against the social, cultural, and even ecclesiastical resistance that encourages resistance to a call from God if or when it comes to them. But certainly it is not something all women or men are called to. The ministry of the faithful laity, whether of women or men, is just as important and beautiful, I think, as that of the faithful clergy.
