well i love it when people try to speak french when coming to france, it's better to try than to not try at all! usually when people approach you they just speak english.
@Amrita Kaur well of course they are gonna have an accent, since french isn't their first language... i speak english with an accent too, it's very hard to get rid of it.... Her french was actually good :)
@Amrita Kaur There’s nothing wrong with her having an accent when speaking French, it just means that it’s not her first language. It’s the same such as making fun of someone for having an accent when speaking English-it’s just plain rude. Fix your Ignorant attitude 🤨😐
Dude, your french is so good! It's understandable, your have a good grasp on the rolled 'r's and you speak with confidence which will get you pretty far with the French ;) (qualifications: I am french) good job, girl!
I'm so inspired by your solo trip. I love Paris so much and I want to return, but I've always been nervous about travelling alone, this is really nice to see someone enjoying themself alone in a foreign place!!
Looks like so much fun! I'm always impressed by your ability to do things and go out of your comfort zone in your own company. It's definitely something i'll work on.
I love your travel vlogs so much!! I always try to vlog when traveling and I get too shy about it, but your vlogs have inspired me to not care about that because the end result is so much fun💓
Your French is great! I had trouble getting myself understood in France and I'm French Canadian. :/ I'm so envious of your ability and confidence to travel alone and that super cute studio you stayed at. I went to Europe with my school and if I could have a do-over, I would 100% do it like you did instead. You had an amazing trip! These vlogs give me such wanderlust. 💕
this makes me want to go to Paris so bad. also makes me want to Tavel more and visit bookstores and museums. Makes me want to just travel a lot more than I do.
the Van Gogh Doctor Who episode is like my all time favourite. It always makes me cry Alsp, thank you for all the Paris bookstore recommendations for whenever I go there ❤️
This was such a gorgeous video! I’d love to go back and experience it all over again, I didn’t get much time when I was 15/16 at school. So glad you had an amazing time!
This was so entertaining to watch. I've always wanted to go to the Palace of Versailles because I loved learning the history part of it. I really wanted to see the hall of mirrors because it is sooo beautiful! I'm glad you had a good time✨🌆😊
It's a shame you didn't get to do the gardens. When I went 6 years ago it was free entry. Also the Marie Antoinette palace is back there and it's pink and beautiful
I don’t speak French but your French sounded good in my opinion!! I took French I in college and enjoyed it. That’s so sweet you did a meet up in Paris and got to see some of your friends and followers 💝
i don't learn french in school, but i've been obbsessed with anything france related lately so i can't believe you uploaded a vlog going there! ah i wish i could be travelling to paris!
Emma, this video made me cry! Not only because I was so excited and happy for you, but also because I went to France semi-recently with some people I now consider to be some of my closest friends and this made me so nostalgic! Your reaction to Versailles was exactly the same as mine and it made me want to go back so bad, and also Shakespeare and Co. and the Latin Quarter in general was one of my all time favourite places I went in Paris! Feeling jealousy, nostalgia but mostly anticipation for when I can go back, but mostly so happy for you that you had such a good time!!
This travel vlog has inspired me to go see more of Paris and see more bookshops. I actually went to Shakespeare and Co. (by accident) and I would love to see more. Although, I’m actually traumatized to use the Metro in Paris because when I went with my family, we almost got mugged 😳 Luckily, this kind French woman helped us out but yea we took the most dangerous line and our hotel was outside of Paris. We eventually changed to another one because of the experience. But I loved being there and I would love to go back again and explore!
So glad you seem to love my culture, language and country so much :) if you do go back to France, i'd highly recommend going out of Paris though, there's so much more to see than our capital, even tough it is a gorgeous city ;) And your french is good ;)
I’m living vicariously through this vlog. Also admit it, when you were in the catacombs you looked around and quoted Jace from the silent city chapter- or even the scene in the book. Because I know I did as soon as I saw it just in the video 😂😂😂
i know i’m late, but your vlog was so cool !! I’m french and i went to paris a few times but i love watching vlogs like this one. And your french is very good you have a cute accent i love it
Having been in Paris just about 3 months ago myself, I totally understand everything you said. We went to the same book stores (we even bought the same book at that book store that was the first one in Europe) and the same sight seeing places and you saying that it's sickening how there is no ugly building, girl, tell me about it. Architecture wise Paris is absolutely stunning. I was so amazed about that fact. So gorgeous. Glad you had a good time :) Musee D'Orsay is one of the places I have to go next time because I couldn't go since I was on a schedule with my friends. Definitely plan to go back on my own. Also, the Mona Lisa was so overrated lmao. I went to see her painting but I was more excited about everything else at the Louvre. The outside of the Louvre with the pyramid is now my favourite place to chill in Paris. It's just so nice there and if I'd live in Paris I would spend my free days there reading haha The Catacombs were so really cool! I have vlogs on my channel too if you are interested :)
I spent one day in Paris, and it was incredible. I’m supposed to go back right after New Year’s, and I hope I’ll actually get to. This time, however, I’m planning to actually heed all the damn signs in the Metro that say watch out for pickpockets, because my phone was stolen that day.
It's so weird to see you wandering through my city haha, it feels so good to see it through a stranger's eyes! I had to go to some of the bookstores you went for a group project, my favourite tbh was WHSmith with that little coffee area.. But I don't know if you noticed, the books are a little bit pricier than they are in the UK... I don't know why. :( Anyways, nice vlog!
I love your vlog and your french is good. Your accent is very cute 😊 Still sad I wasn't able to be in Paris for that meet up, but waiting for the vlog was worth it. (And french book titles translation often have no logic, especially for series 😆 )
So what you're basically telling me is that I need to go to Paris because they have their priorities right with having so many bookstores next to each other.
First off, I'm still surprised you did that trip all by yourself! Secondly, was Paris dirty? I've heard from a couple people that Paris was disgusting and they were really disappointed in the city. That's my dream vacation so I'm just curious. Not that I don't think I'll ever make it there, but yeah.
Girl you need to drop your skincare routine tho
I LOVE that you can travel the globe by yourself. I can barely go get groceries alone so this is the kind of motivation I need 🥰
I love how your one book from Paris was a CC book. On brand.
I had no idea you were a Whovian.
your french sounds adorable! wish i could go to paris 💕
thank you so much!! ahah

Amrita Kaur she’s trying her best.

I'm french and all I can say is that your french is so cute 😍 I mean french is such a complicated language to speak and learn. Bravo 😂😊
as someone who grew up speaking french, your intro was hands down the cutest thing ever!!! so excited to watch this vlog emma💕

When you kicked your leg up and did that peace pose in front of the painting, my heart soared. You're so cute!!!
Looks like so much fun! I'm always impressed by your ability to do things and go out of your comfort zone in your own company. It's definitely something i'll work on.
always look forward to these travel vlogs!
thank you for watching!

Did anyone else get silent city vibes when Emma was in the catacombs?
Also what was that 3 floor book and DVD store called?
Cassie Lawson i think it was from the shakespeare and co store?
I'm still so sad I couldn't go out when you organized the meet-up (I live in Paris) as you are my favourite booktuber out there

They're around 16€ in stores where I live if they helps
