The irony that the movie sequel WB was poised to just dump to streaming because they had little faith in it's bigger viability is doing significantly better than they ever expected, and the movie sequel they had a big marketing push and strong faith in has utterly floundered in the market.
I mean the trailers were already hitting the right vibe. But the fact Burton and Keaton actually kept Beetlejuice to a minimum shows they understood the risks of oversaturating him in a story. So there's a clear understanding of what works.
