I've had that experience so many times! I have an idea, something about it is off, then I spend altogether too much time fussing with it until I decide it works. Sometimes the simplest idea turns into the longest process. Great video!
"I misaligned the crap outta that!" Story of my life. I should totally put that on the wall of my craftroom. Glad to see even the pros don't always align things perfect either.
Thank you Cathy for being real and showing us when things work and when they don’t. I love your creative designs and appreciate your sense of humor. Love everything you do.
constantly second-guessing yourself and changing what you're doing because something doesn't look *quite* right is pretty much how all of my card projects go! lol. Nice to see that I'm not alone in this!!! Your finished project is lovely :)
Love watching you pivot and verbalize your reasoning for doing so. It’s like watching my favorite pro golfer hit an errant shot and then recover from it. It makes us all feel human.
I love watching your videos. Especially the live, do-it-spontaneously ones... it shows what it’s truly like during the creation process! Makes me a little more forgiving of myself when I struggle to get a card just right!
i guess im randomly asking but does any of you know of a tool to get back into an Instagram account..? I stupidly lost my login password. I would love any tips you can give me
@Braylon Derrick Thanks for your reply. I got to the site on google and Im waiting for the hacking stuff atm. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will reply here later with my results.
Love the messages I got from watching your video-it's ok to make mistakes, it's only paper, and you live and learn. Frees me up to have fun and navigate through the days when the ideas don't come as easily. Thank you Cathy.
Thank you for including the boo-boos in the cardmaking process! You are helping me to learn to forgive myself, and that I can always go back to the drawing board.
What you went through with your card today is what I go through every time I want to make a card. Thank You! It helps to not feel like I’m alone in the struggle
A few suggestions for your stamp positioner: 1) Sticky grid sheets. Normally used for die cutting, i've seen them used in stamping platforms to hold the paper so you don't have to worry about finding a spot for the magnet. 2) Scrapbooking magnets. They're tiny and thin enough to use in stamping tool, and they're like 1/8" across - much smaller than the bar magnet. I use mine for this all the time. 3) I've used purple tape or masking tape to hold the paper. Small loop of tape on the back of the paper.
Holy crap! This is hilarious!! You should have had a 'drinking required' label on this video! I was laughing the whole time!! And your results...fantastic!! I am fully committed to your videos!
After you stamped the green on the first flower, since it was aligned in the right position it would’ve been easier to put the second diecut into the same hole and stamp it.
To be fair, I think Janet said it before me, it's just my comment is nearer the top!! 😂😂 But hopefully with us both saying it, you'll think of it next time.
Yes, it IS making me feel better about my card-making decisions. I have had many days of crafting with results that are... not what I envisioned. Thank you for sharing with us! :)
Love the final result! It’s a sweet card. On the card with just yellow distress ink in the middle I was thinking stamp the tiny flowers in orange to get both shades there. But I really like how it turned out with the yellow & orange blended together. And now you’ve got some scrap paper to die cut or practice free range stamping with. 🙂
Love how this card looks after your switcheroos! Pretty Spring colors. I’ve heard many gals talk about die cutting then stamping, but it doesn’t seem to work at my craft table! Those are sweet blooms, TFSharing, Cathy! 🌸 💌
Absolutely love the fact that you show everything.... mistakes in color choices and all !! P.S. you brought back memories when you mentioned hairspray! I knew immediately you were thinking of aqua-net...lol TY for another great and fun video.
You did a fantastic job! Thanks for showing people that things aren't as perfect and 123 presto your done. It's a process of creating that is so enjoyable if we do not have those expectations. I plan on purchasing everything you used and having a go! Thanks!!
It's great to see the "pivot"! I think it's important for people to know that NO, things don't always work out and go as planned but it's FINE! hahah, the struggle is real sometimes. If all we ever see is a perfect process start to finish with no glitches we start to think "This craft is just not for me" and then give up. Great card as always, Cathy. Thanks for sharing!!
Well thank you for making me feel NORMAL! I go back and forth and then forth and back! But you kept going! I’m actually having to take apart a card today! Lol! Appreciate your honesty! 💕🙋♀️
Ok so I haven’t been card making for a while so I have been binge watching you Cathy whilst my family are watching their shows at night. Obviously I need to put my earphones in as my two teenage boys are now saying ‘New recipe mum now what’ or ‘new clothes mum now what’. They crack me up every time.
I appreciate the humor and authenticity of your approach to videos. And yes, Aqua Net. Sometimes I wonder how I’m still alive after inhaling about a bottle of that a day. Still, I was sooo much taller in high school...
I loved watching you go through the process of making this card. It shows me that even a graphic designer with lots of experience can struggle sometimes. Maybe there’s hope for me yet! I love your sense of humor. And when you whisper. Really enjoy you & your work. Thanks for being generous & sharing your work with us all.
Literally my favorite video from you yet. You’re a human like is and not just a super star card making celebrity. Made me feel good to see you struggle a little.
Oh Cathy you are so real😁 just love that you kept the boo boos in the video and kept it so real🤔 nice to know I'm not the only one who can do a whole lot of backgrounds before it looks right😘❤ love the finished card.
You always brighten my day, and think you should do stand up comedy. Love watching you and how you always share stories about your life. The card turned out lovely BTW! 🐇🐰😀
Adorable card! I just received my background set- the tiny flowers background one you worked with here. I’m hoping to play next weekend. Thanks for sharing!
I love all your videos and how you keep it real. If I was as cute, adorable, funny, witty, and creative as you, I would give you a run for your money making card making videos. BUT...alas, I am not as awesome as you. So, I just grab my favorite beverage at the moment and sit and watch your creativeness (is that a word?). I then try to create. It then, sometimes as you say, turns into a hot mess, but I really enjoy your content. You inspire my creativity. Thank you for keeping it real.
Great video Cathy. We all make mistakes and we all start over. It’s nice to see other people do it too. I’ve been watching many more videos since I’ve been recuperating from knee replacement surgery and it’s been really nice. It’s kind of like having a friend have a conversation with you. Thank you.
I liked all of the blended backgrounds, but it is fun to see how each turned out. I really thought the embossed version was going to be awesome...🤷🏻♀️ I liked the big sentiment that you didn’t also. I love the finished card best though. Thank you for keeping it all in. The nice thing is, Dan will have some pretty grocery lists!
Thanks for taking us on the adventure using a new stamp set. I just watched one of Jennifer McGuire's videos and she showed a really neat way to line up those stamps. Go peek, she makes it easy, then again you all make things look easy even when they aren't. :-)
Great card Cathy and it's interesting to see that I am not the only one who can't always make a quick decision. Sometimes it's a lot of back and forth before I can make a final decision. The struggle is very real. 😊
LOVE this Cathy!!! Great card and love your thought process!! You're just simply great, and I smile and have a wee giggle listening to you!! Thank you!!!
Loved your process and sticking with it! You talking through it sounds like the way I talk myself through the process. It made me laugh that I’m not the only one. Thanks for keeping it real!
Hahaha the purple! 🤣 you make me giggle! (And i do a lot of things for blanks and giggles 🤣) I think you did great at challenging yourself with florals. Start small grow from there! ❤️ its pretty
aquanet! Thank you for showing us your process because I go thru the same things! It helps to know that it's normal to get it all wrong, not just once but a few tries are needed sometimes.
Absolutely loved this video! It was like watching myself LOL. very pretty card as well. I did think that maybe a layer of vellum could have saved that first ink blend that was too dark. Thanks for the fun!
Very pretty card Cathy and I love when you explain the reasons for your design decisions, it helps me a lot. I'd love to see you do more of the design tips videos you used to do.
I too love your videos and I so appreciate how you keep it real! The struggle with the orange shade blending background is real... I always envision something lighter and it ends up looking like it is on fire! :-) Thanks for sharing and happy Easter!
I love your videos...especially this one. I have a potty mouth & I cuss up a storm some days coming up with card ideas. I totally feel your pain on nothing going the way you think it will. Good job coming out the other end with a Beautiful card!
Cathy another great video. You are so down to earth I love watching you make cards . I thought I was the only one that talks to myself lol. We all make mistakes and your right we carry on. Thank you for sharing another lovely card and great idea. Happy Easter 🐰🐣🐇 to you & your family.
So refreshing to watch you do this with all your indecisions and mind-changing. And humor. It’s real, people! It’s real! Lol I have a question: I just got my domed foams as a separate set for oxides. Do you clean them ever? Or just treat them like the brushes: brush off as much ink as possible after a session and dedicate the colors? Thanks again for another inspiring video. Can’t wait for the Concord & 9th Summer Camp!!
Too fun that this card build included hairspray conversation! I remember. And the realism that card making isn't always easy. Love you, Cathy! 💗
absolutely love when you leave "mistakes" in and change your mind... I am always doing that and glad I am not alone
Changing my mind at least 4 or 5 times with one card is what usually happens every time I sit down to make a card! Your card turned out beautiful 💕
Mistakes are often more edifying than perfection. Thanks for a tutorial for which we can all say, "been there, done that""
I've had that experience so many times! I have an idea, something about it is off, then I spend altogether too much time fussing with it until I decide it works. Sometimes the simplest idea turns into the longest process. Great video!
This is so cute. Love the flower in the center and the clear bling always adds just the right touch.
Thank you so much!

Another 30 minutes of fun and giggles 🙃. Cute little flower panel. - W
The simplicity of the floral on white surrounded by the tiny florals of the background stamp is so nice.
What a hoot! Love how you just rolled with it on the fly. Your final creation turned out just right. 😀
Feels like we are in the craft room together!
Thanks for keeping things real and not always just showing the perfect parts. ❤️
Love this Springy card. It's very cheerful. Love how you wing it. That's what us card makers do. :)
I love watching your videos. Especially the live, do-it-spontaneously ones... it shows what it’s truly like during the creation process! Makes me a little more forgiving of myself when I struggle to get a card just right!
Glad you enjoy it!
i guess im randomly asking but does any of you know of a tool to get back into an Instagram account..?

@Lennox Hunter Instablaster =)
@Braylon Derrick Thanks for your reply. I got to the site on google and Im waiting for the hacking stuff atm.
Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will reply here later with my results.
@Braylon Derrick It did the trick and I now got access to my account again. Im so happy:D
Thank you so much, you saved my ass !
Wonderful!
Always fun listening and watching you create a card. Thanks.
What you went through with your card today is what I go through every time I want to make a card. Thank You! It helps to not feel like I’m alone in the struggle
Simple, love the card! Thanks for beingvreal & sharing your "oops" moments because we ALL have those 😘

You beat me to it, but I only saw your comment after I made mine.
YESSS! The thought did not even occur to me and as Kathleen said above, GREAT idea!
To be fair, I think Janet said it before me, it's just my comment is nearer the top!! 😂😂
But hopefully with us both saying it, you'll think of it next time.
I love the way you change you mind...something I do all the time..love your card! Thanks for a wonderful Saturday morning.
Yes, it IS making me feel better about my card-making decisions. I have had many days of crafting with results that are... not what I envisioned. Thank you for sharing with us! :)
Thank you Cathy, you’ve given me a lot of craft courage
Thanks for keeping it real! That’s how I was Saturday!
Hey Cathy. It’s 2.30 in the morning in Australia. So cute. 🐨🦘
Love how this card looks after your switcheroos! Pretty Spring colors. I’ve heard many gals talk about die cutting then stamping, but it doesn’t seem to work at my craft table! Those are sweet blooms, TFSharing, Cathy! 🌸 💌

That hair spray… it WORKED! lol

Very true!
I just love your perseverance with this card, I probably would have given up.
You are so awesome, Cathy! Thanks for keeping it real!!

Oh fun!
You’re my card-making spirit animal!
I love the way this card turned out, so sweet!
I remember Aqua Net! lol. Yes Cathy, we are bonded to you and your cards!
Way to persevere! The final product is beautiful!
I appreciate the humor and authenticity of your approach to videos. And yes, Aqua Net. Sometimes I wonder how I’m still alive after inhaling about a bottle of that a day. Still, I was sooo much taller in high school...
Such tall hair back then!
Love your crazy zany videos. My kind of humour. Such fun.
Wow that was a ride Cathy 😆 Lovely to see you struggle the way I do sometimes 😚xx
Oh, there is hope for all of us crafty people!
Literally my favorite video from you yet. You’re a human like is and not just a super star card making celebrity. Made me feel good to see you struggle a little.
Girl, I struggle more than you would think! I'm getting smart now and filming those too!
One of my favorites video, thank you. Sometimes I think only me has difficulties🙋🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️😉
Love this card and I absolutely love how you were so real while making it. I am so with you about card making and designs are hard...I feel you!!
Oh Cathy you are so real😁 just love that you kept the boo boos in the video and kept it so real🤔 nice to know I'm not the only one who can do a whole lot of backgrounds before it looks right😘❤ love the finished card.
Love how you create & chat with us! Fun card & video!
You always brighten my day, and think you should do stand up comedy. Love watching you and how you always share stories about your life. The card turned out lovely BTW! 🐇🐰😀
Wow I'm sweating now, but it was worth it. Great looking card.
Cathy, I absolutely love watching your videos! I also have a craft/dining room area and I’m in love with your storage solutions
I love it!!! Doesn't matter how long it takes to get there!
Great video and pretty card. I think it's good for people to see the "experts" mess up on a card and then fix it. Makes it all more real.
Thanks for watching!
Adorable card! I just received my background set- the tiny flowers background one you worked with here. I’m hoping to play next weekend. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you for the creative inspiration, kind encouragement and laughter!
You are so welcome!
Great video Cathy. We all make mistakes and we all start over. It’s nice to see other people do it too. I’ve been watching many more videos since I’ve been recuperating from knee replacement surgery and it’s been really nice. It’s kind of like having a friend have a conversation with you. Thank you.
Heal fast!
Agonizing. Great when I was finally able to exhale. The suspense!!
You and me both!
I liked all of the blended backgrounds, but it is fun to see how each turned out. I really thought the embossed version was going to be awesome...🤷🏻♀️ I liked the big sentiment that you didn’t also. I love the finished card best though. Thank you for keeping it all in.

Leave it to the queen! She knows how to do all things!
Love the thinner foam tape! Love the lighter blend in the heart!
Love your redos! Nice to know I’m not alone! And yes, I thought your answer was going to be Aqua Net, nothing like a super hold :-)!
Great card Cathy and it's interesting to see that I am not the only one who can't always make a quick decision. Sometimes it's a lot of back and forth before I can make a final decision. The struggle is very real. 😊
So true!
LOVE this Cathy!!! Great card and love your thought process!! You're just simply great, and I smile and have a wee giggle listening to you!! Thank you!!!

Love that you share your creative process.
I have many, nope do not like that, moments making cards. But I do have a stash of rejects to try to repurpose! Love the pretty card you created💖🧡💛💚
It turned out super cute! Possibly one of my favorites of yours in a while! Great job!
Thank you so much!
Love you and your videos so much fun !!
When I started crafting I was always told ‘Nature is not perfect Cheryl’ . 🙂
Love that!
Absolutely loved this video! It was like watching myself LOL. very pretty card as well. I did think that maybe a layer of vellum could have saved that first ink blend that was too dark. Thanks for the fun!
I really enjoy watching your process. It reminds me of my own! Love the way it turned out!
LOL. you had me giggling by the third card base. Very relatable. Cute card!
So glad!
Very pretty card. Thank you for sharing 🤗😊
Very pretty card Cathy and I love when you explain the reasons for your design decisions, it helps me a lot. I'd love to see you do more of the design tips videos you used to do.
Thank you so much!

Yes, girl… I have to edit myself when filming! lol!
Keep keepin' it real! Love it!
CZ, you can put tape underneath the die cut flower so that it stays there
I never think to do that!
Cathy another great video. You are so down to earth I love watching you make cards . I thought I was the only one that talks to myself lol. We all make mistakes and your right we carry on. Thank you for sharing another lovely card and great idea. Happy Easter 🐰🐣🐇 to you & your family.
Happy Easter to you!
I like the way you create on the fly! Fun to watch!I do a similar, just throw it together.. from Phoenix

What a lovely card!! Thanks for showing when things don't go the way you think!! It is helpful!!
