Great stuff guys, When you are new to it, this is the best bit about gold panning for me. I dug holes for hours and hours and couldn't find a sausage but when you see that first spec it is a game changer. Cracking location too.

Great to see you giving panning a go! Don't give up, as there is gold out there. I know that MrDazP1 finds gold up in the NW of England. Edit: Just seen the comment below mine is from @MrDazP1 so you are aware!

Hello Kieron, I just noticed this comment and thanks for posting. I have watched some of your videos before all this UA-cam stuff became so popular. You have had some fantastic views on your videos. Hope you are well.

Hey guys. Great fun..you need to slow down the flow and flatten out the water over your sluice. Keep it nice n flat..
    Dig deeper...
    Good hunting.

Way too much water running through your sluice box, currents too strong, probably lost gold.

Great video fellas. Nice to see the area, as well as looking at the dirt. Well done.
I see you're using your kit right out of the box, have you seasoned your pan? You have to remove the casting oils so the tiny specks don't slip away.
    Here's how to season a pan. ua-cam.com/video/Pp3swkWWU2k/v-deo.html
And here's a good panning method,
    ua-cam.com/video/Hfn-rD_yxN4/v-deo.html
I would say it's better to pan two handed to start. And forget about swirling the pan, you'll just push your gold back into the rest of it and have to start again.
    All the best.

Did some prospecting in Wales. As it was freezing I bagged up the paydirt and panned at home, found about 19 pieces in 2 bags. If you can drive a couple of hours, narrow rivers around snowdon are a good bet. Also. Dig till you can't dig anymore, hit bedrock. All rivers and natural streams contain gold to some degree, mainly micro gold which is really difficult to pan. And you need to look at the colour of the river, iron is a good indication of where to look and will have a red tinge to the rocks that you dig, find that and your instantly increasing you chance of finding gold. And also watch Parker Schnables guide to panning, no offence but your technique sucks lol

Hi guys enjoyed the video, you need to classify your dirt more, preferably down to 5mm mesh. I'm from the northeast and have been prospecting for 12yrs and I design and make gold prospecting equipment.
There are a couple of places in our area that does produce very fine gold.
    Good luck

the next time you go to a gravel bar/pebble beach, try doing a test trench using pans across the width. this will help you locate the best paystreak, which should extend down the entire bar. gold luck to you :)

I wanna give you a tip, get on UA-cam and look for a man named Freddy Dodge, he has video that will teach you and show you how to pan for gold.. Telling you he helped (his videos) me out tremendously. Best of luck, hope you find your Mother Lode
