I just revisited (August 2024) this old Garritan Steinway Grand sampled piano demo, but this time, I am using the Garritan Yamaha CFX Concert Grand Piano. I previously used a midi file that was quantized and of course had no emotion, no rubato, no dynamics, just cold notes. I used Yundi Li's performance, and by ear, modeled the midi performance to his live performance. It took over ninety hours tweaking everything. I believe I was able to closely match the performance by manipulating everything in the realm of midi. I used Digital Performer to accomplish this... Yes, back then I had too much time on my hands :)
Even though it has been years since I did this, it was fun to watch it again and do a "remake" so I decided to post it and oh yea,, Yundi Li and Chopin. :)
