Good job on this one, I did a video on this place a few years back and got some of my info wrong lol. But looks like a lot more has been uncovered since I was there. Pretty cool man Keep up the good work.
Cool video, wonder what attracted people to build houses out there in the first place? Wonder if there was a mine or some type of industry nearby.. Otherwise just seems crazy to build out there
A dome concrete form would be the best response taking its shape from the natural dune shapes would be sustainable, albeit there would be a need to dig out entries some what like digging out from a snow blizzard.
After living in California for 10 years and visiting a few times since I left, I strongly believe California is a cursed place where dreams go to die. How many communities were built that are now abandoned and exposed to the elements? How many people died throughout history trying to make it to that place? How much hope did they and others have of building an ideal life, only for them to fall prey to the elements, both man-made and natural? God only knows how anyone who lives there now is able to make it. That place is cursed and this video is proof of that.

California deserts are massive. Where is this? Did you provide a highway number or region?

Perhaps some buried bodies or graves?

Floodplain and severe flash flooding. It will wipe anything out in its way.
