Citroen C5 Aircross 2019 , sat 7mins while the firmware u loaded and the screen showed successful then waited another 3 hours for the maps to upgrade and gave up. restarted the car and reinserted the usb drive and it looks like the updates will continue but not now as its cold and dark, it took 5 minutes to update my Garmin sat nav. what a croc of shite.
Tried many times for my C4 even with 2 different USB pens (both formatted) and it always gets stuck on the part to transfer to the USB. It never passes 0 bytes. Did you encounter such issue? Thanks.
I had the same problem. A completely new stick and halfway through the transfer, it reports an error. The problem is with the stupid app. There are two folders for decompression. One is Firmware and the other is Navigation. And the stupid application tries to decompress both files with the same SWL folder name. That's the problem. I manually decompressed both files (*.tar) into one SWL folder. In that SWL folder, I got two folders with different names (there are a lot of numbers in the name). In one is Firmware, and in the other is Navigation. Such a stick must be prepared and the upgrade completed without any problems. But it takes a very long time.
@@draganvujec5057 it was a comment on how the one whose posted this on UA-cam. Looks like the update was done by removal of the radio and hooking it up to a battery. Not me doing it this way. Annoying these videos when they don’t explain how it’s done. Look behind the radio, it’s in a house/ apartment being updated. Means it’s been powered by a spare battery, and not connected to the car.
You must keep the motor running just to prevent any disruption while installing the software. When you switch on the ignition only, the panel display might switch off automatically that could damage your whole software. Just be careful, but you can do what you think best for you.
@@gudvooy2 correct. And yet again another brilliant idea by car companies that the engine must be kept running, potentially damaging the engine of idling for an hour and also polluting the air…. For that reason I do not update mine.
@harveylinney Watch the video again if I remove the radio just to update the software. The motor has been running as you can heard on the video. Look very carefully before you destroy and bash my content.

The USB pen must have a minimum memory of 32Gb. Chose the USB as download destination.
@@gudvooy2 yes, it has 64gb and I chose it but it never goes through. Thanks for your quick reply.
@@jtalexandre it must be a 64 bit operating system on your computer
