Idk about y’all…. But for me, this song somehow condenses the film Event Horizon into a strictly auditory experience. Like the horror and wonder are so perfectly paired together. I don’t even know if he has seen this movie lol. But this song feels like the cliffnotes of the audiobook adaptation of the film from long ago transcribed into a song….. if that makes sense lol. But better cause it is its own dense star of music.
There is a mad scientist vibe… going to the absolute edge of what is physically possible in the universe. There is an astounding unfathomable majestic beauty and grandeur paired with an insane loneliness of being the only one to see it in all it’s inhuman splendor. I probably sound insane but I’m sure at least one person here knows what I mean.
He’s gone to the very edge of human experience and brought back this exquisite painting for us all to see. All just with a guitar, drums and bass. So inspiring to see someone express so very much still in such an often clinical genre . It truly rewrites your understanding of what’s possible on the instrument and in composition. This guy has taken an absolutely insane obsession (a sickness even) with mastering technique and made true art and beauty with it lol. Like this truly justifies the madness.
Can’t thank him enough for reminding us that there are no limits. If you can dream it you can make it be. Aight I’m a stfu. Sorry y’all. 😅 Love music too much sometimes.
