What I love is that Dr. Glassman doesn’t say “It’s okay” because right now Shaun is not okay, but he simply said “I’m here.” That’s what Shaun needs. Is for him to be there.

This is the straw that broke Shawn's back. He has been through a lot. Lia lying about his chart, Glassman said he would be by his side and not be there, try to save a baby where he couldn't save his own, even when he doesn't show, shawn cares about his patients and doesn't want them to go through what he's been through. My son is autistic. He is only 12 at the moment, but he can't verbalize his feelings. I don't want to cripple him by having him be solely dependent on ME to speak for him, but I don't know how to NOT speak for him. This clip reminds me that there is so much more under the surface, so much that even my son himself can't necessarily access. It may all come bubbling up or exploding out one day, and I hope that if I can't be the one to simply be there, I hope SOMEONE caring enough and understanding enough IS there. To simply BE THERE to hold him up.

Imagine being in a pool and life is good. All of a sudden, someone yanks the stopper from the drain, that pool turns into a whirlpool and what you were floating on suddenly disappears. There’s nothing you can grab onto, the spinning gets faster and you’re getting dragged deeper and deeper into an abyss you don’t think you’ll ever come back out of.

i watch these clips and i love them..i'm happy when he's happy..i'm sad when something doesn't go right..i think this show is fantastic but i don't know if i could on the whole handle seeing every show in it's entirety ..i bawled my eyes out at his pain in this clip..i don't want to see anything bad happen to him..i don't want him to hurt or be sad..i don't like when he's questioned in his knowledge..the overwhelming emotions are just too much....
