- Today I'm testing the ultimate folding ebike, which unfortunately is pushed too far and gets destroyed, the Fiido X! I do want to say this bike is actually really awesome for what it's designed for. Maybe don't take it to the skatepark for your weekly session but the phenomenal 80 mile range makes it PERFECT for commuting around locally, and even pushing to some further limits.

The Fiido X has a torque sensor motor for nicer power delivery, options of a 250W & 350W motor with top speeds of 15.5 & 19.5, alongside ranges of between 70-80miles per charge! This perfect commuter ebike of 2022 going into 2023 definitely makes it one to look at if you're considering a compact, folding ebike to get around your light travels.
On my channel, I take these bikes to push them past what they're really intended for. An ebike like this, despite its magnesium alloy frame, is likely to encounter stress cracks like the one in this video under excessive load. Whilst I don't recommend you copy anything you've seen in this video on this bike, I do actually recommend it for what its meant for. You decide!

He basically made a cheap version of a swing bike..... But only to the left, you should just tape and hose clamp it shut. You'll lose the folding capability but it won't be death the whole time... LoL

This looks like the first version of Fiido X which has been recalled. Version 2 has an enhanced folding joint part which looks slightly different from this.

Hi Lewi. I´m James from México and i´m very intrigued about this video. I´m gonna buy my first ebike and i was thinking to purchase this model - fiido x- but i´ve been doing some research thru internet and i found out this issue of the "Broken hinges" or bicicles broken in two due. Now i´m affraid of buying this model even though in my city everything is paved and there are almost no rural or dirt roads. I mean, i´m not gonna use the bike the way you did in the video...i wanna know if you recommend this product just to use it as a commuting bike on well paved roads...I don't want to use it for a few weeks to finally notice cracks in the hinge. I also want to know if you found out how to fix the problem...You know, here in México we don´t have any guarantee from the manufacturer in China and i will have to import the bike...so...it´s gonna be a very annoying to return the bike to the US so they can fix it and then return it to México.
I´m very graateful with this video - also affraid - i i would appreciate any help and recommendations with this bike.
Yeah there was an issue with this a year or so ago. They have fixed now and all the new ones don't have this problem apparently. Don't think it's built for how Lewi is riding it so unsure if he had the old version or the new 😂

A bike like that is not fit for rough terrain, and it's dangerous riding it when not locked properly.

Fix it with fiber flex tape(or some kind of water activated resin tape) and send it again! I bet it's stronger than the original. It won't fold again but eh.

As an owner of the Fiido X version 1 (model recalled) and now the Fiido X version 2, can you please rename your video to "This FOLDING ebike is INDESTRUCTIBLE (NOT!) - Fiido X" as this bike has some major flaws even with v2. The public needs to know. Good video BTW, I would not even do half those stunts with a fixed frame bike :)

Fiido X had frame issue where it was getting broken while riding. This is version 2
Incorrect. This is version 1. The video was posted 5 months ago. Version 2 was not available in the UK 5 months ago.
Also the fold lock mechanism can easilly ne seen here as the less robust version 1 type. Version 2 type is as broad as the the frame itself.
