If you're a beginner serf caster, a highly recommended ODM DNA rod and a van staal vr reel. I personally use the ODM Genesis 9foot with the Van Staal vx2 150 for the back bay . I've landed 30 pounds plus stripes on that setup. The DNA rod is a Superior rod then the Carbon serf. You might spend a little more money, but you get what you pay for.

Tsunami elite 11 ft rated 1-41/2 and a Van Staal VS200. Caught tons of large bass and large bluefish.
@@MichelleWettstein No it didn’t break, I still have it. I’ll love a Lami or Century but I feel so guilty spending so much on a rod. But I know a few guys with the tsunami elite and they do very well.

Hey brother you convinced me to take advantage of a 20% Lamiglas discount and I bought the rod!! I have a 10’ and a 11’ but my quiver was lacking a 9’. I guess that’s an important size right?
