I really like the design of the SI dragons. Mechanically, dragons are pretty basic for the most part and this adds a lot of cool play patterns. I think it's great from Riot how they incorporated the unit sacrifice of SI with dragons to create really interesting interactions mechanically, as well as flavorfully. It's a perfect match.

You said you did a lot of work for this single video and that it is what is, but honestly I wouldn't mind seeing more than one video with the same deck. You're really entertaining after all, and it still helps showcase more use cases

@@shafwa234 Well it came from the fact that Mogwai has included rally in most of his decks and a lot of Demacia decks he made had rally as well. Now this combined with the fact that Mogwai mentions different champions as his favorite champion made this be a meme about him.

There's just something with mogwai, when he focuses on the game and doesn't talk and after he's like "I was really focused didn't talk" I only realise then, that he was not talking and I was thinking with him.

Honestly when Mogwai mentioned Ashe I'm actually surprised how well she can preform in this meta because she legit shuts down most of the top meta decks and with the new support she got with Rimefang Denmother she is actually legit (Also the fact that Denmother has 5+ attack means she can be placed in Ashe/LB).

What deck list do you use? I was trying to fit denmother in Ashe Noxus but I never play the deck and don’t know the best way of going about it.
Heres a Decklist with Denmother. Anyone who wants to should try it out and makes changes. Ima gold player so dont expect much but tell me what changes you make. A great finisher is using Leblancs mirror image on denmother and BOOM. Its pretty common to drop Denmother after 8-11 freezes. then Mirror Image and ppl just surrender.

Yesterday I think you were playing this deck and I was rly happy to face you. I think the deck probably wasn't optimized yet as you didn't really do much on the early turns and Lee sin just otk you.
I have to say though, you must have cursed me or something becuz I didn't get a single Lee on the top 25 cards of my decks in 6 different games

Saw in a Silverfuse video that there is a weird interaction that you don’t seem to know… You can target the Dragon Chowder when summoning a shadow dragon, killing it “twice” and gaining double Fury. Maybe they’ll patch this out, but for now, you don’t need to sacrifice another unit!

Actually what happens is the dragon summoning condition procs of dealing 3 damage and it kills the chow granting its fury the chows conditon of when you summon a dragon also procs and it gets struck to draw a card it doesn't proc fury Twice cuz the chow is already dead
@@Dynobotoverlord You're sure? OP's response is true that it happened on Silverfuse July 15 video. So maybe Riot fixed it? Kinda odd that they didn't took into consideration that interaction when making such Dragon designs prior to release.

I try to deckbuild every so often and MAN, its takes time to optimize them, it really made more greatful for the effort that youtubers and streamers put out in their lists. Keep up the great work Mog

thanks for the deck building explanations mogwai, they've greatly improved my own deck building, and I think thanks to you I found my own deck build that I'm pretty proud of using SI Shyvana dragons and The Undying.
As a fan of dragons and dragon decks, I love this style of deck building! Awesome job!

Kindred goes well with Shyvana. And it doesn't need any deckbuilding sacrifices to work. Just 3 cards that go a LOoong Way :)
yesterday i was playing a viego/shyvana deck and had a beautiful 16/15 camavoran dragon vs Ez Karma and all because of the ruined dragongard being played on curve (before you ask they didnt will of iona the dragon because they tried to keep viego out of my board, to no avail) for this I'm glad mog is making a deck of this archetype!

Everyday, before my sleep, I MUST chug down the daily mogwai video.
The best two Viego Decks ive played with/against were Viego/ Hecarim with Ionia, and Viego/ Kalista Demacia. Ive always beat the shurima style deck and any other Freljord version ive seen.
I love everything about the deck except egghead researcher. I feel like it interferes with the perfect mulligan you described and doesn’t trade into anything very well. Yes it gives value, but with it giving a a random dragon, wouldn’t it be better to throw a higher cost card into the deck that you dont have to keep in opening hand? Great content!
The best dragons are locked in Targon. Screeching Dragon is the only really good one you can get in this region combination. Researcher helps a lot with overcoming this issue imo.
What rabbit said and also the body does matter a lot in aggro matchups. It trades well into saboteur for example
It’s a solid blocker and you could just feed him to the SI dragons
I think the Egghead Researcher is very versatile. It's his only real 2-cost blocker, it can potentially take a hit at turn 2 and survive to block more, and it can be used to feed the SI dragons. The deck doesn't need more beat down, so early game defense and food for the dragons is more appreciated.
Thanks for responses it makes a lot of sense! After trying the deck too it does feel like it’s a good card. Card value/fury stacks/good into treasure hunter and such.
I find draven to be an amazing inclusion. You get access to the 5 mans make something immune for a turn when discarded and the axes are great for grappling hook enabling. Additionally it allows you to run 9 champions in a deck built around champions as the dravens biggest fan pulls the dravens into your hand.
Thanks so much for building this deck. Dragons are one of my favorite tribes in the game, and I've been wondering how to integrate the new SI cards into a Shyvana deck but I think, like you said, trying to slot in Viego was trying to do too much at once. Definitely looking forward to trying this list out!

I actually made a deck that ended up very similar to this, except I seemed to keep 2 Strafing Strike and I used atrocity instead of the rally unit. I also didn’t use the wings and the waves because I never found myself needed more fodder to feed to my dragons, but instead had 2 radiant guardian in to help against burn decks. I also fit in a Kadegrin the Infernal and used prismatic barrier instead of riposte. It’s interesting how differently mine came out to yours yet had so many similarities like the stalking shadows and such.
I've been trying to make a Viego Freljord deck for the last few days. Happy to hear that you are also working on one.
Really cool deck! I usually think dragon decks are kinda boring but with the new shadow isles cards this deck is super dope
I LOVE your content for your creativity, commentary and gameplay. Personally, I think you could always revisit desks and maybe showcase different match ups from the first video if you ever feel like it’s too much to do a brand new deck everyday.

gold is so weird to get out of. most of them dont play around cards which is great most of the time but sucks when you're trying to bluff.
i love how riot gives out free stuff, and the F2P players like me dont feel left out. draven is really good with ruined reckoner's midnight raid, you should try it.
That opener in your first game reminds me of one of my games where i mulled into 2xChow, 2x Dragonguard and drew Chow number 3 at some point. Couldn’t find a dragon for the life of me until turn 7 when Shyvana came to play and pretty much flipped after eating all 3 chows and gaining the double fury from both guards.

Nice, a Demacia deck that doesn't rely on Radiant Guardian when playing against aggro decks. Love the gameplay, especially that last game.
40:28 So sad seeing someone mispilot Swim's deck so hard. All he had to do was wait, what seems like, two more turns to draw into Draven so you can go all-in with Survival Instinct discard-protection. Smh.

This event expansion have been better than the whole previous expansion by a lot, My God.
On the previous expansion you basically had 2 pré-made decks for the 3 champions.
On this expansion you can play 2-3 different Akshan decks with Targon, you can play him with Noxus you can play him with Ionia(Karma and Lee) and that is not even counting the Amount of decks you can play with Viego.
This deck is incredible!!

"Marvelloso" doesn't exist in spanish, you must mean "Maravilloso" which translates as "Marvellous". But "Precioso" translates as "Beutiful" in an artistic sense (you use it to describe a piece of art, a project or a platonic atraction). A pricey thing is called "Costoso", and "Precious" in a sentimental way is translated as "Preciado"

I removed 1 Concerted strike and 1 Dragonguard in favour of 1 Atrocity and 1 Strafing Strike and replaced 2 The Wings with 2 Hapless Aristocrat: I think Atrocity is waaaaay better as late game situational card and it also adds a finishing touch, which the deck lacks, if you strugle to close up the game; I removed one Concerted because after all is a counter measure, useful for sure but its not a key element while Strafing Strike on the other hand helps a lot with leveling up your dragons and lt makes the whole process a lot more smoother. Finally i went for Hapless because it plays the same role of Wings with the same efficacy, it is less flexible but a lot cheaper( it is common and not epic) and also helps with the pressure the first 2~3 rounds. Im waiting for you Freljord version of this 😊
Don't know why but I love the concept of undead dragons, no matter what kind of game.
I love these new SI dragons, I wish they did something like this for sea monsters, bringing some of them to different regions to create decks with different colors but same "unit type"

My favorite thing is Camavoran+Dragonguard combo into the judgement anti open board wipe. Isn't really realistic but boy is it fun. Gotta bait them into blowing removal on Shyvana first though.

Even though I started to hate this game recently since most matches end before reaching 7~8 mana but I still watch your content just for your commentary
I've found the most recent patch and update to push games closer to the mod/late game honestly. There's a lot of pirate aggro, but I rarely have games end before turn 6 at the earliest lately.
I fully fucking died choking on my sprite when the first thing i hear is : 0:05

I tried making a Lucky Find deck for Akshan ,using lot of Pay day,Profiteer,Vekauran Bruiser,Inner Sanctum etc,also got some units to advance Akshans landmark,if you could try to make one,its kinda fun and well themed with Akshan :)

Used this deck earlier against azir irrelia. Between dragonguard and camavoran dragon, my opponent didn't stand a chance. I could block forever and was killing him slowly with drain props. I think I dealt 9 or 10 damage just from the drain procs that game from one dragon.
My friend really likes Nasus/Sivir because they love the Sun Disk and making Nasus absolutely massive, curious if you had any other ideas for spicier Nasus decks that aren’t just Thresh pairings? And how mono Shurima should deal with Lurk and other aggro variants best.
Really cool concept, Mogwai, thx. I tried it and it did not work out so well. It is too slow at the start of the game, too dependent on combos and when you end up with a boosted dragon, it is too easy to shut it down. Too bad because I loved the dragon idea.
