    I wouldn't have believed that could've been saved if I had not seen it myself. GREAT work bro. UA-cam needs to mellow out and understand WE THE PEOPLE want to see hunting, fishing, gutting, head cleaning videos, AND we ARE adults so treat us as such.

    UA-cam demonetizing your videos is absolutely ridiculous. You make educational videos that aren’t causing any harm to anything. You actually show respect to the animals that you harvest and turn them into art. Keeping doing what you’re doing man. You’re doing a great job

  • @jenniferharton6383
    @jenniferharton6383 6 років тому +25

    I wish UA-cam didn't give you such a bad time. We'd get more videos. Plus it doesn't make any sense why they would there are so many other videos on here that are so much worse than what they claim yours are. I've watched surgeries on here! No problem for them. I love your videos and wish you luck.

    • @drsmac1498
      @drsmac1498 6 років тому

      Jennifer Harton liberals don't mind surgeries. They hate poor, pretty animals being killed and used as (sob, sob, cry) trophies for macho jerks with big guns. Proud to be considered one. Edit: Although I respect each life and believe in the hunting. Those bunny huggers don't understand real life

    • @shannoncasey5311
      @shannoncasey5311 6 років тому +2

      Jennifer Harton i agree. Its fine for people to use the skull and antlers instead of just throughing them out. Like he said before, kids look for the box of cereal with the toy, and they also get the food thats inside. They eat the food and get the toy. These hunters eat the food and get the trophie. Its also cheaper to hunt sometimes if you dont have much money , you can go and (legally) hunt for food and trophy, i wish youtube would allow more vids. Sorry for the long paragraph

    • @jenniferharton6383
      @jenniferharton6383 6 років тому

      Shannon Casey I agree. Isn't that what God made animals for? Not trying to be religious but truthfully that's what they are for is for us to eat. I think it's fantastic that we have found ways to use and enjoy ALL of the animal instead of waste. I also love the way Ryan presents and teaches. He's the best. Thanks for commenting with me.

    • @shannoncasey5311
      @shannoncasey5311 6 років тому +1

      Well God made us and the animals baisically vegitarian but after the fall He said that we could use the animals and eat. But i agree with you and i personally think its fine to hunt and the trophie cames with the food. 😊

    • @jenniferharton6383
      @jenniferharton6383 6 років тому +1

      Shannon Casey I also like how you referenced one of his other videos. I enjoy watching them several times. He's a great teacher and I love his techniques. Makes it look easy and turns out a better product.

  • @degmar
    @degmar 6 років тому +9

    When you put the band around the base of the horns, instead of folding the band in half, fold each side in so that the seam runs down the middle of the back of the band. That way, you have a rolled edge on each side. May be a cleaner look. Just a thought.
    Also, I have an aoudad skull that I want to mount to the wall. Since the horns sweep back it needs to be away from the wall to create space. Is there a special bracket for this?

    I'll be pissed if UA-cam bars you from posting the skull cleaning vids! The methods you've shown have helped me to the nth degree in doing my own! So much so it's become addicting! I've actually started looking for road kills to clean and I'm getting a pretty good sized collection of pristine skulls now! LOL! Keep up the awesome work! If you find a less restrictive format or new location let us know, I'm sure those of us who have subscribed would flock to a new venue to watch you work again! Don't stop doing what you do!!

  • @alexmajor2393
    @alexmajor2393 6 років тому +2

    I dont understand what youtube has a problem with. Are they trying to say you should only eat the meat and throw the rest in the garbage? Hunters are SUPPOSED to make the most out of every animal life taken and use every possible piece of that animal to ensure the animal didn't go to waste after death. A trophy is a momento, a talisman that represented the animal that died to feed a human family and a commemoration to a difficult hunt and a beautiful animal. That way every time the hunter who harvested sees it he can reminisce and respect that animal and the challenge it presented. Huge fan of your work buddy keep the craft alive and if your forced to switch platforms to share your skills and traditions i will surely follow.

    That is beautiful work, especially on a whim. I married a man from Brazil, him and his family are part of the ipca tribe, so I'll be able to get a special licence to hunt for the things that they do (wouldn't hunt for sport but for the tribe to be able to eat), and I would love to be able to send you some caiman skulls if it isn't illegal to send or for you to receive and work on and keep or sell. You've done gator, I don't remember if you've done crocodile, but this would be new and exotic either way

    Bud I love your work! Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us! I like your videos as is but for UA-cam maybe take some dead heads/ sheds and make videos restoring the color then make things out of them like lamps and big antler hanging lights. Maybe take some the rough dead heads and hydrograph them IDK. AS far as I am concerned you can keep on doing your videos the way you have been because I really like them the way they are bud. Keep going and God Bless!

    I looks amazing! I have one issue with it though: when you put on the strips of leather around the base of the antlers, it would've looked much nicer if you put it on the other way around (the bend part facing downwards and the two ends facing upwards). Because 99% of the time people are going to see the mount from below and I feel like the bend part looks much more natural than seeing it was glued together + the overhanging base of the antlers would hide the glued ends from sight anyway. That's how I feel about it anyway and I have absolutely no experience with skull cleaning whatsoever, so maybe there's a reason you did that.

    Hey everyone! I have found something that works AMAZINGLY WELL for staining antlers !!! I work at a water treatment plant and we use a product called Potassium Permanganate or KMN04. It is a powder that is EXTREMELY concentrated! There’s also MANY uses for it for survival purposes as well. Disinfecting water, making fire, etc. When mixed w water it’s violet purple, but If you get it on your hands it will stain them brown! Same with bone! I mix 1/2 tsp. w/ 4 oz. water and use as a stain. The longer it stays on the darker it will be. Don’t let the purple color throw you off, it WILL dry a perfect ‘Antler Brown’!!! So if you’re looking to stain your antlers, KMN04!!! I doubt there ANYTHING that would work better!!! It’s THAT good!!!!!
