I have never seen more beautiful lyrics in my life. This is such a grounded and meaningful song about relationships which I wished I heard before my break up with an important person. To be honest, this could have comfort me for the simple fact that non of that breakup was my fault, because after two years from the break up I blamed myself of that event. Today, I have already accepted the fact that it wasn't my fault, in fact, no one was in the wrong. She wanted to pursue her dream where I wanted to stay at my home town for a while with her. Perhaps it was selfish of her to do that, but I don't blame her because I know how much she suffered being in my hometown and unprepared she was for a deeply intimate relationship. Later I learned that she might be lesbian, though I have my doubts, so I think she needs to figure out what she really wants instead of constantly running. Here is the thing, I like to think that the time I had with her is something to be remembered and the relationship is an experience that I learned deeply. In other words, a part of her is in me and a part of me is in her, emotionally and metaphorically speaking. With that conclusion in mind, I feel as if I have finally moved forward from that and indifferent to what happens to her (unless death).
Moral of the story: don't forget about your past partner, but remember them so you can learn how to move forward.

It's a very pretty song lyrically. It's basically about being in a relationship and your partner comes home angry about something and they complain about something you did (in this case the house is messy); but you know there not really angry at you and
instead of getting mad you comfort them and try to make them feel better. It's about understanding your partner enough that you know when they just need affection and comforting regardless of how there acting and I think that's beautiful.

@@jesusordonez1516 this got that slow, nostalgic, melancholic, melodic late 90s post rock, alternative rock ballad sound. The kind of warm, soft feeling you associate with looking back in your memory at the good times - its all in the minor chord progressions and female vocals which are also very 90s. This sound is also found in a lot of Shoegaze - especially Japanese Shoegaze in bands like Mash, Dive, My Dead Girlfriend, Tokyo Shoegazer.
      - some examples of this simple melodic style are:
      Boa - Duvet
      Barnabys - In The Galaxy
Mazzy Star - Fade Into You
      Smashing Pumpkins - 1979
      Bush - Glycerine
      Supercar - Lucky
      The Pillows - Last Dinosaur
Clams - See The Brightest Star
Any RHCP song (they all have that nostalgic sound, especially Soul To Squeeze and Under The Bridge)
      Foo Fighters - Everlong
And of course another MOTFD song: Tantantan

When me and him were together I loved pretty much every song by mass of the fermenting Dregs, and I still do, but this ones special. I haven't been able to listen to this without crying in a very long time, and now I'm finally hearing it and smiling. This will forever be one of my favorite songs. I think this song is about holding onto the things that made you fall in love with someone although that person is changed forever, but you just can't help being in love with that sensation and sweetness of the beginning of your love. it is too sweet, and you've been poisoned by it.
I'm a lil late but this is a beautiful song, really💙
