I did not, the CS has a little play in it, as long as you don't grab it and start to turn it you be fine. Just pat attention to it. There is also a small viewing window that you can see through to make sure it's aligned. Thanks for watching.
Hi. Is very important not to break off the lock spring when pulling steering out. Make sure all clips are off. Double, triple check. That piece cost $700, if u break it.
@17:11 That's the #1 thing that drives me crazy about my Tacoma! I have been searching everywhere for a how-to video on how to flip the damn thing. You have the know-how, it seems. FLIP IT! And show us how. FLIP IT!!! LOL Great video btw!
Soooo, any thoughts on if your cruise control, pre-collision, and vehicle stability error codes pop up after this? I’m assuming I messed up my clock spring. 😅
You sure did, make sure it's plugged in first. One connector for both switch panels on the steering wheel and one connector for the cruise. They should be plugged into the clock spring at the top. Also check under the clock spring centerish bottom connector for the steering angle sensor. Make sure that is plugged in also. Good luck, hope it works out. I do not have any of the pre collision hardware installed on my truck, so that does not apply to me.
Yes, however once you remove the wheel it's up to you to put it back in the same spot. You have to line up the splines on the wheel to the shaft in the column. Thanks for watching.
Hello. I'm watching your video because I have an issue with the stock steering wheel trim. My lower left steering wheel trim is not resting tightly on the wheel and it goes up and down when you squeeze it. I noticed when you uninstalled yours, they were just held with screws and no adhesive behind them. Did you have that issue also?
Where can I get that exact same steering wheel? I’ve been looking and haven’t found anything close. Thanks for the video you explained the process perfectly!
Thank you. I can not find the wheel either. I was searching for a while. I ended up finding this one used for sale in the Tacoma Sale section on the TW Forum. I’m not sure they still make these. Thanks for watching.
I think I found it on eBay. “Revesol sports piano black steering wheel.” Looks identical and they also make carbon fiber ones with red stitching and red stripe on top

Very nice
Thank you.
Did you unplug the battery before your install?
Yes, I went over that in the beginning of the video.
What is the black emblem overlay you have on your steering wheel?
Well, it's a black emblem overlay. Check, Ebay, Etsy or Taco vinyl, a couple people make and sell them. Thanks for watching.
Helpful vid. Came out looking great.
Thanks, appreciate it.
Did you lock your steering wheel before removing, have seen videos where the clock spring moves around a lot

For sure, thanks for watching.
Hi. I just bought a 2017 tacoma trd. The air bag assembly is loose. Is it possible to just tighten the screws?
Yes, you should be able to that with no issues. They should not be loose thou, prior accident?
@@ClassyTacos the truck was in a accident. I went to tighten the screws and they seemed to be stripped. I did manage to get it tighter.
@@jasonvandervalk3679 ok, happy you got it sorted out.
@@ClassyTacos thanks.
4runner lifestyle sells a steering wheel that looks almost identical to this one. I wonder if it would work for the tacoma 🤔
Maybe. Thanks for watching

Ha ha, man it's way harder than it looks. Thanks for watching.

Classy, you make it look too easy. Nice work. Great tips. Looks awesome!
Thanks, I really appreciate it.
Looks good - great video
Thank you, appreciate it.
Can you lock the steering wheel in place first that way later on when you put it back on, it’ll be in the same position?
Yes, however once you remove the wheel it's up to you to put it back in the same spot. You have to line up the splines on the wheel to the shaft in the column. Thanks for watching.
Thanks for sharing, where do you buy the steering wheel and how much that one cost ??
Thanks for watching, I bought it used off of TW. Sometimes they come up on E-Bay.
Great upgrade…
@@ramireznico Thank you.
It give it a nice touch!! Great video like always.
Thank you.

I had no issues when I removed mine. Just 4 screws hood them down. Thanks for watching.
@@ClassyTacos Thanks man!
That steering wheel looks amazing. The only thing i dislike is the shiny black top. Just another thing to reflect in your eyes
After a solid week of driving there is no reflection form the top of the wheel at all. Thanks for watching.
@@ClassyTacos thanks for that info. this definitely helps my purchase decision
@@voodoobluetaco Of course, glad it helped.

@@ChipFingers Good catch.
Look forward to your videos. What is the brand name of the steering wheel, it looks great.
Thank you, it's a Revesol wheel as far as I can tell. When I did some searching i could not find any for sale for the Tacoma.
jeessh, looks awesome and probably adds some better steering corrections being a bit bigger thicker wheel.
Thanks for watching. I think it adds a little bit of character to the interior. I really like those subtle changes.
No future give away? AHAHA
Maybe I'll hav something coming up soon.
