WARNING this is an experimental film!!! If you just want the action like normal skip to 9:19 otherwise the idea behind this is it's the closest thing to a live vid that I can do (because of no reception on the Islands). If it pops off I'll do more like it, otherwise this maybe the only 'every cast' upload you'll see from me. Either way cheers to all of you for all the ongoing support! Yew!
I think Briggsy and Gido should visit each other's locales and fish together. I think these guys are two of the most real UA-camrs fishing-- Timmy Turtle, but he's gone awol . Not a lot of extra hype and drama. And I love that they take their kids fishing and show that, too. Real dads with fishing channels. Everyone subscribe and like. It costs nothing and will grow their channels so they can have more time to post videos for us. I'm over in Alabama, USA. I think of myself as an Australian fisherwoman- ha! I love the scenery as much as the fishing... Just makes for fabulous films!
That was some pretty heart stopping action. Cool to see a fish like that getting landed with light tackle. You can tell that this ain't for the faint hearted; only someone with years of experience could successfully get this fish in and released safely. Really well done!
Like the format, great to watch and once again Briggsy shows us his incredible skill and knowledge in playing and landing that amazing fish, I learnt so much. Thank you.
Damn Briggsy!!! It doesn't get much better than that! Perfect time of day, incredible cliff, Fishing eith good friends, under gunned, absolutly ripping drag, and I think one of the best releases you guys have captured! Such an incredible fish, fight and video!!! Keep up the amazing work and videos coming! Its always so great to see you guys making videos togehter!
Reminds me of landing a 15kg kingi on my 8lb braid Stradic 3000 and 4 - 7kg rod. When they want to go you just hold on and hope you don't see your spool
Briggsy! Epic as usual... but better! Always froth to watch your guys videos as I live in Hawaii. I fish but never have catches like you guys. Your videos make me feel like I'm there on the rocks with you guys! Aloha brah!👍👊💪🤙🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣
How good was this?!? The lighting is surprisingly above Hollywood level and fully natural so the feeling is just ecstatic! Plus the raw footage just gives an extra clue as to how tough it actually is to bring in a monster like that. Briggsman you’ve done it again 🤩
Dude! Loved that vid! That was sick, good format too, bit more raw and 'real' if that makes sense. anyway I'll watch whatever you post 😅 keep em' coming!
Just want ur advice as I’m looking for a similar setup like yours. Why do u use a 7’6 rod? Wouldn’t u want a longer rod to get the longer casting distance?
Bad! Is what it is lol, it was a cheep polarising filter but didn’t cut down glare and just made it annoying to colour grade. I would have bought a good one if i could find one but could only find this one. Definitely not recommend!
yo briggsy, ive noticed that your videos are all mirrored, is there a reason for this? it can become a tad confusing watching all the vids with this effect.
The first thing I noticed about this reel is its weight ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxM68VkfsQhHaabDce1IwOCXuvumcpbZ_k . I wouldn't say it was uncomfortable but it was a little heavier than other similarly sized reels. However, that didn't deter my enjoyment of how smooth this reel is. I spooled it with 20lb. Tuf-Line XP and it's perfect for what I use it for. I have it paired with an 8'6" Medium/Fast Okuma SST Salmon/Steelhead rod. The combination is perfect for casting and even drifting. I used the reel all day and didn't experience any arm or hand fatigue except when fighting a few fish! The bail is solid and feels strong when engaging by reeling and manually closing the bail by hand. The large rubber handle grip is very comfortable. It's got a powerful drag, silky smooth reeling, and feels very comfortable in the hands. I recommend it!

Very cool top fish! Tech question…..what’s the filter on the Head-mount GoPro?………ND?
Bad! Is what it is lol, it was a cheep polarising filter but didn’t cut down glare and just made it annoying to colour grade. I would have bought a good one if i could find one but could only find this one. Definitely not recommend!
Yeah I have been looking for the same but just seems none of the top brands make a polarizing only filter……….Thanks for the reply and advice.
Thank you for the tips and nice video
