If you got some money over I would really recommend it!! I have a shure sm7b and it is awesome, If your are on a budget I would get a rode nt1. I have had like 7-8 different microphones and these ones are my favorites. with this said you can still make some good vocal samples with your iphone.. I know some vocal sample beats for drake has been recorded with an iphone

🤍 go for it, you don’t really need a good mic. Like he said, iPhone works great, but for the workflow a mic is much better. Mine was only 50€ and it definitely works to record stuff for your beats
