I've always wanted to mod Skyrim but was never smart nor tech savvy enough to do so. Any attempts ended in failure and confusion. I watched a number of tutorials but none ever ended with me having modded Skyrim. That was, of course, until this series. I decided to give one more tutorial a try (aka yours), and lo and behold, I found myself gaining knowledge through an easy to understand manner. I just finished the main part of the series, and wanted to say a huuuggee thank you! Your tutorials are the only ones to ever work for me. If I ever get to know someone who wants to get into modded Skyrim, I will for sure point them straight to this series. Thank you again for creating such an easy to follow series!
I really appreciate your kind words. Thank you so much for your motivation. So happy to hear I've been able to help you with your modding journey! I appreciate you!
Thanks to your videos, I was able to develop a modlist of 144 that's completely stable as far as I can tell. Thanks for all the advice. This was by far the most helpful tutorial I've seen on UA-cam for MO2
My game has never looked this beautiful. all my previous attempts at modding have all ended in failure, more often then not the game would crash without it even starting. You and your videos are an absolute wonder and make understanding modding alot easier, thanks for the tutorials they have helped me soooo much.
Your guides have been a great help for me I've been wanting to get into modding for so long but have been to scared to try it for fear of messing things up but now I'm starting to get the hang of the fundamentals and am having fun with it. Thanks so much and keep up the amazing work!
Hi man, I am forever grateful to you that you made this modding series that is the best on youtube IMO. I started modding skyrim around 2019-2020 and quit after countless trial and errors and still enjoying the game but it ended with my save file being corrupted. Here I am again years later trying this again hoping that things go smoother this time. I'm still not sure how to determine mod load order but I hope your dividers will see me through as I intended to go further than my mod build years ago.
Thank you so much for your kind words and support. Really means the world to me I appreciate you. I do have a video on my channel called Load Order Explained which might help! We’ll also be touching on it in the series at some point but not as in depth as that video :-)
This series has been a real game changer for me. Modding has been a series of try/get confused/fail attempts the last couple of years. This series is really helping me not only de-mystify Skyrim modding, but also showing me how to do it more efficiently and effectively. Subscribed and saved the playlist to keep up with any upcoming videos that are (hopefully) added. Really hoping for tutorials that help with making optimized and nice looking LODs for my LO, which I've always really struggled with. Using SSELODGen, TexGen, DynDOLOD, etc to make the worldspace look more consistent and remove pop-in for mod added objects, buildings, etc. Especially with your teaching skills here, it would be way better than scouring forums or asking questions that I don't even know how to ask because I find making LODs confusing. That could also be a good opportunity to show us how to set custom outputs for executables, so LOD programs and Nemesis will automatically output to their own "mod" folders instead of the general overwrite folder. Would also really appreciate a tutorial on how to use Synthesis as well, as that would really make a huge difference in what I could do with my LO if I knew how to use it. For mods like Open World Loot, Apothecary, Gourmet, Merchant, Sorcerer, AI Overhaul, etc. that all make leveled list edits/container edits/NPC record edits, I could just make one all-encompassing patch for each mod like that specific to my load order for consistency instead of having to scour the Nexus to find and install tons of individual patches and STILL miss things. Synthesis could be really awesome if only I knew more about, how to install it, and how to use it. Maybe down the line a tutorial or two for more advanced modding techniques like how to find and fix conflicts manually with XEdit, or maybe how to merge and make your own AIOs for mods, how to make your own patches, etc. That way it takes away the need to only rely on what's available on the Nexus and instead one can make smaller compatibility fixes on their own in some cases.
I really appreciate your support thank you! Glad you’re enjoying so far. This series has much more planned with SSEEdit, Bodyslide, DynDoLOD, Cathedral to name a few! So plenty in store to take our build into new realms :-)

Thank you Jay for always bringing a smile to my face. I’m honoured. It’s been a bit of a rollercoaster recently, I believe I’ve screwed myself over in a number of ways by creating expectations of myself that I’m barely managing and being my own harshest critic. I had a bit of a moment where I realised I was losing track of the direction the guide was headed and it was getting a little “disorganised” for want of a better word. So, I wanted to straighten out a couple of points in this one and in the next to set the course straight again before then going into what I’m truly looking forward to covering. I began pushing to ensure the next video was exciting and had a wow factor which resulted in small important details being skipped for being too dull. Annoyingly, that made me realise this guide would become the same as any other on UA-cam by doing that as no one wants to cover the boring bits and they’re usually the parts people struggle with and can’t find the support covering them. So I decided to revisit the mission objective and focus on what the end game was which was to show anyone the ropes to starting their journey and what it entails using a single example. It’s safe to say I’m still a little rattled at the moment which is likely making for a couple of episodes that appear somewhat out of character to usual (coupled with the new editing software) but it’ll be a story to reflect on one day when it won’t matter because things are better. Leaving this in my browser window so that I remember to watch it and continue modding! :) I found a great compass mod, but it requires a different UI mod other than SkyUI. Is there any way to make these compatible?
I have made myself 4 different instances where I mess around with different mod lists, but its kinda hard to keep track and stay orginized when I top 300 mods installed XD But so far its as stable(or as close to it as vanilla) as I have ever gotten it. o.o Quick question btw, are you going to touch on using "SSEEdit" in this, or is your older video still up to date on all the info needed? As far as "cleaning" mods, making patches yourself etc. And I have one mod that is asking me to remove a CELL when I run LOOT, which I have not done, but have yet to notice any errors.

That wouldn't make sense seeing as LOOT doesn't reorder those, so I'm a little confused on the whole lefthand side of M02
Appreciate the support! Glad I could help. As for your questions, I'd suggest checking out my video "Load Order vs Mod Priority Explained" to help answer.
I have a problem, my night in skyrim is pitch black and i cant see the sky. You know how i can fix it?
Amazing series, thanks alot! Know what would be the cherry on top? Physics, female physics.. you know what I'm saying.
Edit: For real though, would actually love to understand it all and perhaps even bodyslide.
Appreciate the support! We’re just getting started ;-)
Does anybody have a good video on how to solve a cyclic interaction on MO2?
Leaving this in my browser window so that I remember to watch it and continue modding! :)
I found a great compass mod, but it requires a different UI mod other than SkyUI. Is there any way to make these compatible?
Love it! Enjoy! :-) re compass, not sure I’m afraid
Can FNIS mods be ran with everything you've done up to this point?
I have made myself 4 different instances where I mess around with different mod lists, but its kinda hard to keep track and stay orginized when I top 300 mods installed XD
But so far its as stable(or as close to it as vanilla) as I have ever gotten it. o.o
Quick question btw, are you going to touch on using "SSEEdit" in this, or is your older video still up to date on all the info needed?
As far as "cleaning" mods, making patches yourself etc.
And I have one mod that is asking me to remove a CELL when I run LOOT, which I have not done, but have yet to notice any errors.
Amazing! We like stable! 😂👌🏼
Yes, SSEEdit, DynDoLOD, Bodyslide, LOOT and Cathedral are in the works :-)
@@ADHDecent what about xLODGen?
TBC - it looks like it as terrain gen is an issue in my current testing as I’m just not happy with the quality yet. But I also have to find the balance for performance to allow as many people to follow as possible (and I have a potato myself aha)
