Forgot the "ELFX - Exterior Fixes" version we downloaded was also an ENB type. Should probably make sure to remove that and download the standard one for consistency, I noticed it while going back through. Didn't see it mentioned in the comments.
I've been modding Skyrim for 7 years... followed many guides and by far my Skyrim looks 2024 game Right now because of you and I'm so happy with it you are really the best simple and best guide ever.
Yet another wonderful and invaluable video! I am so intimidated by ENB, and probably don't even understand what it is exactly; so I can't express how helpful your step-by-step instructions are, covering all the details and little things other videos often ignore. Thank you! ❤
@@ADHDecent It's a rainy day, and even while I'm immersed in BG3 at the moment, I still couldn't resist and started a fresh Skyrim download and am now working through your complete guide. And it is amazing! Even "from the outside" I enjoyed it very much, but now, applying it, it is simply the best guide for a game I've ever seen.
I hope to save up for BG3 soon. Tales of the sword coast was my first ever PC game so I'm excited to see what Larian has managed with it! You're spot on too. You'll want to reinstall so it's not for ENB now :)
You have a preternatural ability to put out a video on EXACTLY the skyrim modding problem/topic I happen to be dealing with. Thank you so much for your guides, they do so much to lower the stress of adjusting modlists and get me back to playing the game itself.
I love your guide it has been so useful. I quit modding Skyrim and moved on to other games right as ENB's were starting to become a thing and I had no idea where to start coming back to modding. Your guide has been perfect to get me back in and I am grateful. However, I wish you would warn people before uninstalling the ENB they might not want to do that. Maybe show a quick comparison between the ENB and Cathedral. After I uninstalled following your guide, I regretted it! I don't feel Cathedral is as good as an ENB and my PC can handle one, but I think it's so great you give people whose set up can't handle it another option. Thank you!
I appreciate your kind words thank you! The idea behind the guide is to try and cover key areas both adding and removing rather than making a specific build so to speak. But it's something I'll note down for sure :) glad you're enjoying!
I knew beforehand that ENB might cause me some issues down the line so I just followed the episodes while ignoring the ENB side. It looks damn good with it enabled, but after 2k hours on PS4 vanilla experience, I'm happy enough with the more basic lighting mods PC can offer.
Very helpful your guides are. Also I appreciate your reminders when it is time for a brew, as I am the designated brew brewer in my household, your helpful reminders help my fiancée and I stay on time, and therefore sufficiently brewed.
I am glad you are sufficiently brewed. I’ve always found it of upmost importance. As is the responsibility of designated brewer of course 😉 an honour for sure
Looking Forward for The next guide , Thanks You so Much for this serie, you are a real life saver ! will recommend this channel for anyone new to modding.
I've never been able to successfully do this, thanks for the video! It's been a real impediment to me trying ENBs, I just found it too hard to remove all the pieces if I wanted a change...
You’re very welcome! :-) yeah it’s a pain. I think ENB is very clever for sure but you’re right it can be quite altering for any build making reversing it all difficult
And I think the worst part is ENB is the single biggest resource hog. You go to all the trouble to set everything up, then watch a slideshow because your system can't handle it 🤦 Now you have all these hours of setting everything up, only to have an unplayable game because you picked the wrong ENB. I know I just need to learn more about ENBs, and that's where your guide is invaluable! Thanks again for your hard work!!
Brilliant 😂👌🏼 you’re spot on though. If you look at resources to benefit this is surprisingly far down the list because it’s very demanding relatively speaking Really grateful as always Jay thank you! Very thankful to you
I work multiple videos in advance as each is done in a particular order deliberately because of its installation and reliance. On top of that I test the build to ensure it’s working as intended. At the moment combat animations are requiring much more time investment with the compatibility and transition from DAR to OAR. Its taking time
I've been following your guide, and it's made modding for the first time, very easy to understand. I've gotten to the part where I need to install ENB, but I saw that you will have us uninstall it. Am I able to just skip the ENB video and move on to the next videos instead, or do I still need to follow the ENB guide?
I follow your guide to install ENB. If I want to keep ENB game will not crash right? // sorry I can’t understanding all of English ( not my main language) thank.
Hey ADHDecent thanks for this amazing guide. I have a question is strictly necessary to unistall the ENB focus mods? Or can I just simply deactivate them. In case I wanted to use a enb later.
You can keep it if you wish although there may be certain visual glitches but they shouldn’t cause anything more than a nuisance. You’ll also need to remember that in order to see the changes of the next video you’ll have to disable ENB shift F10 to do so each time you load the game as by default the ENB takes priority
i know this was 5 months ago but just reinstall Veydosebrom Regions in mod organizer and make sure the enb check box is unchecked and reinstall and click replace when the conlfict mesage pops up
You can keep it if you'd like to. Don't worry. It's important to know the process of ENB because uninstalling is often done incorrectly and conflicts with what we plan on installing later. I wanted to cover both because then you know how it works for your own build and can choose which you want based on performance
Brother, I did not know how to speak English well, but I want to know what to add to it Mod Organizer 2 So it's easy to use I know I should download loot And other things I don't know what they are Is there a video I can use so I know what to add to it? Mo2I want to know because I am new to the mod and every time I watch clips I get the feeling that I am going to break something
i followed uninstalling enb and it seems like grass or flowers are now displayed incorrectly: instead of having the textures there are now purple things (just so u know, have no fix yet)
I'm experiencing a major problem after I uninstalled the ENB. All of the weapons do 0 damage, and whenever I attempt to pick a lock right at the sweetspot, the pick still breaks. Has anyone else experienced this issue?
Hi mate. I followed this and then ran the game. Had a fresh install of Skyrim SE and have followed your instructions throughout this playlist. However, upon loading Skyrim I'm now getting the blue texture errors for grass. Any ideas?
@ADHDecent - sorry to trouble you. I've been faithfully following your guide but have a problem. Hoping for a fix by starting a new game, I started a new game but the patches persist. I re-installed the ENB and preset and the patches have gone away. I've followed along to the letter and bar the mods for changing the intro music, the clean menu and twirling skyrim icon thingy, I haven't deviated an inch. Is there a way to send you screenshots, so you can see what I mean possibly?
You have a mod installed that has an ENB option enabled. You need to reinstall this WITHOUT the ENB option when you remove ENB. The purple textures mean it's missing textures and can't locate the right ones. Pay close attention to any FOMODs that pop up when installing mods as these will ask you for compatibility
@@ADHDecent hmmm...tyvm for your reply. i'll go thru all the mods i currently have one by one and re-install. i did the obvious ones (enb helper, optimised enb light meshes and ELFX fixes) but there must be something else i missed. thanks again and ty for such a super guide, i'm not gonna say i am 100% confident but I have a better understanding of modding generally and got to FINALLY use MO2 lol...if you ever get the inclination, a guide such as this for fallout4 would be AMAZING!

Not against ENB at all. It's important to know how to install and uninstall it properly. Most mods that require ENB will usually have a non ENB option too unless it's a preset in which case obviously it'll need ENB. This guide isn't about my suggestions. It's about having the tools and knowledge to mod overall.
