emperor eye actually didnt see the future, but instead his eye capable of reading every information on his opponent such as heartbeat, muscle contraction, sweat etc, based on those information he able to anticipate his opponent movement and make him looks like reading the future, this info told by murasakibara in manga which is original souce, the anime tho failed to tell it properly making it like straight reading future.
Even though street basketball is harder to predict, and he might be fast enough to recover from the ankle breaks before Akashi gets to do much, I don't think Aomine stands a chance. He said that he'd have trouble against Murasakibara and Akashi absolutely crushed him. I know that the MuraKashi 1v1 was while they were still in middle school, but the things that made these games difficult are still there in present time, just way better. And before the True Zone showed up, Akashi single-handedly beat all of Seirin, the team that beat both of their teams by stopping them (Aomine + Mura). And mind you, when he was beating them at first he wasn't even in the zone, so if he can beat regular Zone (And he even managed at first with the deeper levels of the Zone as well) Kagami before being in the zone himself, he can 100% beat Aomine.

If the story is to thematically make sense Aomine would have to win
