    I have a 1996 Club Car DS and just put 18 and half inch tall tires on them and they rub on the back when I hit a bump. So, how would the tires you demonstrated on the video work on my cart? Thanks for your help.

    • @GOLFCARTSTUFF
      @GOLFCARTSTUFF  2 роки тому

      Chad, did you 215/40-12 tires on your cart? That specific size is right there at 18.5” tall and has a tendency to run on *some* Club Car golf carts if the rear suspension worn out. If your cart is 1996 I’m guessing that rear suspension is worn out.
      I would recommend heavy duty rear leaf springs for your Club Car DS to help resolve that issue. You can find those on our site at the link below.

      @@GOLFCARTSTUFF I did the heavy duty leaf springs and also replaced all the bushings and shocks. The cart rides great and I am glad I did it.

    Having a 6:" lift put on my golf cart, what size tire do you recomand ?

    • @GOLFCARTSTUFF
      @GOLFCARTSTUFF  Рік тому

      Overall 22” or 23” tall tire on a 12” or 14” wheel is most common and will look great! Depending on the application of where you are looking to drive your cart, the specific tire recommendation may vary.

      Campground use we typically recommend a DOT All Terrain Tire or something like our GTW Timberwolf collection. I would stick with a 22" or 23" tall tire since you have a 6" lift kit. 23" DOT All Terrain Golf Cart Tires: golfcartstuff.com/search?type=article%2Cpage%2Cproduct&q=23x10-14*+DOT*+All*+Terrain* 22" Tall Timberwolf Golf Cart Tires: golfcartstuff.com/search?type=article%2Cpage%2Cproduct&q=Timberwolf*

    so the offsets are the same on the 10 and 12 inch tires as the 8 inch tires?

    • @GOLFCARTSTUFF
      @GOLFCARTSTUFF  Рік тому +1

      Great question! A 8" steel wheel that comes on your golf cart is going to be a center offset (ET-0). It is very uncommon for aluminum 10", 12", and 14" wheels to have that same center offset. 10" is typically -15mm, 12" is usually -15 or -25mm offset, and 14" wheels are around -15mm offset. All that means is your wheels and tires are going to be pushed out that far - keeping your setup away from the steering components or frame of the cart and adding stability due to wider wheel base. Sorry we did not actually dive into that in this video.

    Will a 23x10.50-12 work on a non lifted cart

    • @GOLFCARTSTUFF
      @GOLFCARTSTUFF  Рік тому

      Randy, a 23” tall tire will require a lift kit. Depending on what cart you have, there are a number of different options you could choose from. Our team is happy to help you out when it comes to selecting the best lift kit for your application!

    Can u do a 215 40 12 ? Will it rub ?

    • @GOLFCARTSTUFF
      @GOLFCARTSTUFF  Рік тому

      This is the million dollar question. Short answer, EZGO and YAMAHA will fit a 215/40-12 stock with no lift kit. Club Car DS should be fine (make sure to add HD rear leaf springs) and Club Car Precedent will but you will have to do some trimming to the plastic in the passenger side wheel well.
      We will be featuring a video soon of what that trimming on Club Car Precedent Carts looks like!

      Hey Little J! Our website is www.golfcartstuff.com. These golf cart wheels have a bolt pattern of 4x4" (101.6mm from top left bolt to bottom right bolt). If you have an ATV, you will need to find a way to convert your existing hubs with their bolt pattern down to a golf cart bolt pattern.
