I recommend that you look into some of the ancient works using LISP, old Neural Networks, ELIZA, SHRDLU, AM, and EURISTO [Doug Lenat]. You're looking, not for how things were implemented, but how they were designed, when compute power was very expensive ... before supercomputers fit in the palm of your hand. You may get some ideas for how to get AI systems to 'think' just a little bit better. ;-)

Not sure about that. He started archer. Made his bag, and gutted that company to form the robotic company. Seems like he’s doing the same thing all over again

No one seems to understand that the profound benefits of Ai where created by our shortcomings, AI is going to present humanity with the first ever example of intelligence that isn't constrained by egotistical and narcissistic perspectives, that wont make decisions base on the unconscious biases we cognitively reason around and justify to avoid self reflection or uncommon change we can see is warranted yet fear enough to not apply. An intelligent presence that makes decisions based on intellect alone will give humanity a greater understanding of ourselves as we will clearly see the contrasting qualities that deliver contrasting results....HUMANITY will not evolve until there is a new element to our reality able to set a new precedence of thought that can broadens the scope of purpose for change enough to see our errors at the first stage of thought before any cause occurs! Unfortunately a vast majority can not see their individual detrimental linear trains of thought that compound together to produce our collective errors in judgement!! our interactions with Ai will demonstrate a contrasting intelligent example that has never ever existed in human history until now...!

I agree. I think a mind that is not biased by its current state or what it ate today Nor influenced by its higher or lower goals and motives. Not even interested in its own existence particularly. A mind that has all the information and statistics of the world available to it in its current consciousness and forebrain. Available to analyze and balance information perfectly and produce a perfect answer to problems. I think its solutions will at once seem obvious and also make us feel very dumb. Easily within a year or two. Politicians would be foolish not to ask for its assistance in solutions to the world’s complex problems.

@@milescoleman910 Human judgement is clouded by so many factors,,, for example our reasons to not adapt and change are based on an idea of what we think might happen as fear has highlighted points that are only relevant in contrast of what exists currently.. Thus we are only observing what we might stand to retain in the absence of change, meaning we are making decisions that actually ignores the proposition for change or the emergence of a better solution entirely... this is the case in most examples,,

I do not want fake people. The world is already filled with them. They ‘umm’ and ‘ahh’ and pause and stutter constantly. They sigh and slow their speech.
This does not need to be mimicked.
    That is silly.
    ‘I ‘uh ….think I did pretty well’
No. Don’t need the stutter and pause. Just to make us comfortable. Need efficiency. And exactness. That’s what robots can do that is better.
    In short:
We don’t need kitchen robots that drop a plate every now and then to make us comfortable. We need kitchen robots that do things faster and more efficiently and catch the plates we drop metaphorically and literally.

Bret is clearly smart, but I don't know about the comparison to Elon. Time will tell. That said, electric vertical take-off and landing vehicles is "not" a good business to pursue in my opinion. I hope Bret proves me wrong, but I just don't see the skies full of these things in the future, especially over large cities which already have too much noise pollution and ugliness. You fill the skies with traffic from these things and millions of delivery drones and nobody will want to live in cities. What a grotesque vision of the future for large cities! Am I the only person who thinks such ideas are deranged? Really, we all want to live in ugly sh!tholes with skies filled with drones and helicopters whose blades are constantly falling out of the sky and decapitating us? That is the modern day version of utopia. People are just dumb. WTF! How about we wait for the development of anti-gravity vehicles before filling our skies with drones and flying cars!
