@@thetrayner it is a Red zone on the DJI Geo Map ... you cant even take off unless you have modded hardware. Restricted zones are height restricted to 150m and there are loads in London but red zones are a no-fly (no choice) scenario.

The police were not happy that this has been possible and, having taken the details of the make, are now going to make sure that it can't happen again either by getting the company to change its software or by getting the model banned. You have actually helped them out here by exposing a weakness in the security of the city. Good to see the police behaving so professionally with you. I wouldn't be surprised if they ask you to take this video down.
Changing the Software or banning the model won't stop a terrorist. They could easily delete the code wich stops the drone from flying. I am quite surprised that they didn't have a jammer in such important locations.

I’m surprised the drone let you. Most drones won’t fly in areas like these because the gps tracker knows it’s a no fly zone.
You can override them. It’ll just state it’s a restricted area. If you press ok, it’ll go. On the DJI’s at least.

In Finland we have to complete a ”drone licence” course to be able to fly. I guess it’s to prevent these kind of things.
