New Clutch in a Y61 TD42 Ute!

- This episode we fit a Brand New Direct Clutch Services Flywheel and Clutch Kit to my old mans Nissan Patrol Y61 (gu) Ute that has a TD42 with Garrett gt2863r turbo, 12mm injector pump and makes 220hp and 720nm torque. The old clutch could not quite hold the power and would slip so time for an upgrade! After fitting the new clutch kit it would hold the 28psi comfortably in all gears as it should being it is rated at 1200nm!

Great clip thanks. I think when it comes to doing mine I'll book it in. On another note, dont suppose you know where the speedo connects to. I have one that not working now. It moves but not with the speed of the car.
How much more room roughly does unbolting and or removing body mounts give you between the bell housing starter hump, and trans tunnel? It was an absolute mission trying to remove and refit the box to clear the tunnel. You have to just about get the box on a 90 deg angle. Sick upload mate 👍🏼
Ben Gunning gives a few extra inches which makes it a breeze to change the box!

why did you replace the flywheel instead of just getting it machined?
It was a custom flywheel to suit the clutch from direct clutch services.

It is a Summit Equipment Hoist Support Stand, Either Used for Helping Keep a Car From Bouncing Around when Removing Trans or Suspension, Or Extra Support When Removing a Trans as Such!
