99 Cents Only stores shutting down all locations

- The Commerce-based operators of 99 Cents Only stores announced Thursday they will close all 371 of its locations, with liquidation sales beginning Friday. The decision was made in agreement with Hilco Global, which will manage the sale of the company's real estate assets for all locations in California, Arizona, Nevada, and Texas.

@BreeLove-dz3cf True, but the end of the day, business owners need to make a profit, when they are forced to increase wages with only marginal profits, they have no choice but to close down. Stores like these are in negative profit when overhead costs skyrocket over night

This is heartbreaking i love the 99 scents only store it has been a blessing to me and my daughter when we were homeless for many years in van nuys when we didn't have much money it was a true blessing. I have moved back home to Louisiana and got back on my feet now. Even when we went through major hurricanes here in Louisiana the 99 scent store helped out. Oh my God this is a blow. We no longer live in California but this really hits home. My only hope is that the ceo and owners will get it together and reopen our beloved store. So from Shreveport Louisiana i will say thank you 99 for all the years you gave us joy and kindness. Ps. We are also losing the dollar tree. I still have my bags i got from the 99 scent store. I prey it will reopen again it's needed more than the owners realize.

This type of economic trickle down happens over decades not over administrations. How basic can you be to think this would be from the current president or even the previous.. the decisions that are being made today are going to affect the country intend to 20 years it’s just really sad. None of you can think out that far partly because we didn’t evolve to do so.
Gaslight and spin! You can pretend all you want that the current regime haven’t destroyed our economy by printing billions of dollars thus creating torrential inflation but even the one party blue sheep in Commiefornia are starting to see the light.
I’d rather all the Five & Below stores to close and we keep the $99 stores. 🫤
