The shorter distance will always show more detail. Test both units set at the same distance. Seems like you always have the Humminbird units set at a farther distance.
Appreciate these videos guys would like to see a comparison videos in the future more on dialing each unit into its maximum potential settings, then doing a comparison between the two brands.
Been waiting for this comparison for so long, and was sure you are the first to do that but damn thats not fair! You can split your videos into two parts: first part auto-settings, second part: subjectively optimal settings and definitely equal range.
agreed this is becoming pointless. Dial them in and tell us who is the best... Thats why I refuse to buy anymore from RMP anymore.. This is a topic right now I want to know who shows fish better, Im a lowrance guy but this video was a waste of time and ultimately why Ill just buy from tacklewarehouse or someone else. Advice, if you are going to compare a product just do it, stop with the they are all great.... BLAH BLAH BLAH.. Tell us who is the winner per category, your sales wont go down because people will still be brand loyal... You guys have lost what you had that was good, if you want to be the best just be honest and transparent, right now its just politics to keep the brands you sell all happy...
Because that would be subjective. No matter what settings they use some Richard Noggin will comment that they are stupid and what they did was wrong and that their settings are better.
@@gregdutton8219 Some truth there, but they could at least put the SI on the same distance. I’m not a Bird owner, but that didn’t do them any justice at all.
Multiple reasons why we don't "dial them in". 1. we don't want someone able to say, my settings are better on this unit, not fair. 2. don't want someone to say, you have this one set up to look better to sell more of this brand vs. that brand. 3. PER GARMIN, LOWRANCE, and HUMMINBIRD most customers/users DO NOT adjust settings, they install and go fishing, this is why we feel this is the most equal way to compare all the brands. I will get back out and refilm at 60' and again at 100' on each and do another comparison on them.
@@RussellMarineProductsLLC then make video for guys that will dial them in, do 2 , do a basic and do an advanced... Then the guy that wants to just throw one on can easily decide and the guys that actually over spend on products and put 5+ graphs on our boats can get a realistic comparison also. I've personally lost confidence in RMP because the transparency seems lost, seems you care more about keeping the status quo vs actually comparing the product.... Id really like to know if I want to put a helix 12 and live pro on my new Ikon, but since I cant get a real answer im just going to go with my gut and buy from someone else... You might not feel the impact, but the word around the campfire on you guys is similar, its annoying, go back to your roots.. Your losing some respect..
Why doesn't RMP make screen protectors for the 73sv UHD? You don't think there is enough market for them? They are the best bang for buck right now I'm sure tons of people have them. I wanted an RMP screen protector for it.
Quit doing this auto setting junk. Making your channel irrelevant! Run the settings as you'd have them on your exact boat. View it from the user. Not the factory. Wasting your time and ours!!
You guys are always over ranging one. Let's see the both at 60 and both at 100.

Do it at the same range, can't compare it otherwise
Appreciate the videos. Maybe one of these days we can get actual apples to apples comparisons
Ridiculous to do a side by side and not have at same range. If they were adjustable sure, but they are. Thanks for showing the Lowrance HD

Comparing apples to oranges again set both same distance please.

Like the videos, but why not dial in the graphs to get their maximum potential? I know it would be time consuming, but so much more beneficial, to us.

@Michael D'Spain They did say that they messed up and it was the auto settings is why the difference. I agree they should have been the same.

Guys seriously ?? At the very least set the range the same on both units. Do you guys just sell $hit you don’t even know how to use?

Man that's so close. If I had to say one over the other, I think the new HD 3n1 is tad bit better, not by much.
Come on boys, you have to compare the same distance away from the boat to really see the comparison.
3 modules wired up and double the price and still haven’t caught the ole antique Humminbird
“I messed up again”. Can you guys please stop messing up? You give these comparison videos but it’s apples to oranges. Why even put it out?

Did you see RMP's comment on why they don't?
agreed
Does anyone know if the Lowrance transducer is compatible with Simrad Evo machines?
The evaluation distance is unfair. How much did the two clowns charge Lawrence manufacturer,
Why even post this? Once you realized they were different ranges you should have deleted and gone back to the lake and do it right.
I don’t care if they are not set exactly the same. I think there is still a good comparison shown here.
Humminbird > lowrance/Garmin. Lol
Obviously trying to sell Lowrance.
