If they did, I should note that this doesn’t mean that they approve of the associated practices.
In fact, it should indicate the opposite. If you really love and care about someone or people in general, you’re not going to want them to engage in severely harmful, destructive behavior towards themselves or others.
Being a real friend is a far cry from being a sycophant, and requires some real strength and honesty. ^_^
@Dreamer19286 I know you probably won't see this but even though I don't know the answer whether they personally are in favor of homosexuality, I can tell you what the Catholic Church teaches.
The Church teaches that homosexual desires are not sinful in themselves, but it is sinful to act on them. The bible explicitly says: “You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination. . . . If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall be put to death, their blood is upon them” (Lev. 18:22, 20:13).
Also @person people loving someone and supporting them are different. We are taught to love everybody (even homosexuals) bc they are made in the image of Christ. Cimorelli can love their fans and not support their actions at the same time. However I don't know if that's the case.

Kath that is so beautiful! I am 21 and never had a boyfriend and never kissed anyone (someone abused me and kissed me even though I repeatedly said no extremely clear so I don’t count that experience) and EVERYONE looks at me like I’m some weird out-of-water fish and tries to convince me to go and kiss someone I don’t know just for the sake of it. Even in our senior year trip to Spain and Italy my classmates said they would force me to kiss someone (they didn’t, they understood).
Anywho, I understand you and am so relieved to know I’m not the only one! J don’t want to have a boyfriend right now cause I’d love to succeed careerwise.

Well, different people have different reasons, so I can’t speak for everyone. But there can be religious reasons for doing so, and it’s worth mentioning that there are of course solid reasons showing the wisdom of those spiritual principles.
There are two major benefits I’d like to highlight:
1. The chastity factor. Kissing can and often does become a lead-up to other things, so avoiding kissing can help keep you off that slope. As a general principle in life, it’s easier not to start something at all rather than to start and then attempt to stop partway through.
2. There’s basically a combination of related chemical and and psychological factors that come into play. Both sexual and platonic forms of physical contact like hugging, kissing, cuddling, etc can stimulate the production of hormones that contribute to things like bonding. The chemical and hormonal reactions your body has are integral in what you register as feelings. That can work either for or against you. And this connects to the larger topic and benefits related to chastity as well. Physical contact, especially of a sexual nature, can basically cloud your judgement and push you towards bonding and becoming entangled with someone, and/or overlooking their flaws. Which is why that kind of thing is best kept to a minimum during the courtship phase.
When you’re trying to determine whether or not someone would make a suitable spouse (and potentially future parent for your children), you need to be able to assess them in an intellectual and clear-headed manner. You don’t want to ignore huge red flags or incompatibility because the physicality is so intoxicating or you’ve becoming prematurely bonded or trusting of them.
Instead, you want to wait until you’ve objectively determined that it’s a good match and you’ve both made the necessary commitments.
Basically, you need to make sure the person is worthy of the trust and attachment before increasing those things.
But once that decision has been made, then those chemical effects will work for you. That’s why physical contact in the context of family and marriage can be so important and helpful. Things like cuddling, kissing, hugging, & physical intimacy help strengthen the affection and bond between a couple and help them to be more relaxed and patient through the rough bits. Instead of overlooking flaws that should’ve prevented marriage, it can help you deal with those more minor flaws that we all have and that naturally cause tension within a relationship, since no one but God is perfect.
And the appropriate platonic physical contact between family members like parent and child are also very helpful and significant in those relationships. One of the benefits of breastfeeding, by the way. (-:
