I'm going to be honest, a lot of this feels disingenuous and like being angry for the sake of it. The only crime is this being the price of a new game, it's overall a good remaster.
I get that there's a standard for remasters but if certain features were advertised, then I'd understand the expectation. But it was only shown to be only a rerelease, nothing more.
People should really be stopping hoping for a REMASTER in a game that literally just SAYS HD... a visual improvement and some qol changes and that’s it, that’s what you should expect, look TTYD it was just that and 2 new bosses but people be looking for a NEW endgame area or something like that. Yeah the $60 tag is wrong, if this that $40-$50 I guess people would cry less Edit: some of you guys are totally confused with what a Remake and a Remaster is that I’m not gonna spend time explaining. And THIS game is just an HD port it Literally says it, with that name we should have expected just the game as it was but running at widescreen 1080p and that was it, but we got some graphic improvements, but CLEARLY some of you expected something like Metroid Prime REMASTERED or Xenoblade Defintive Edition when that was NEVER the intention...
Ttyd got a drastic graphical uplift though? At the very least comparing luigis mansion dark moon hd and the ttyd remake on switch is strange to say the least- ttyd had way more work put into it I'm afraid
In reality, the mission structure was developed with the handheld form-factor in mind. The developers intended the player to hop in the game, complete a mission or two, and go on to do something else. Although if you're just blasting thorough the game in one sitting, it's certainly tedious.
That E. Gadd impression got a wheeze out of me. That's just what he's like too. "Aw damn, I forgot my car keys, come back to the lab." Hoooooly crap, that was on point.
I’m very used to how the original looks, and I gotta say, I really like the new graphics. They arent enough to warrant a $60 price tag, but I can’t deny that they at least look nice
People complaining about graphics or lack of new stuff need to read the name. All it says is HD, not Deluxe, not Ultimate, HD. And Luigi's Mansion 2 shouldn't look like 3, 2 is stylized. Price is valid, but that's it.
It's only made for fans of Darkmoon and when you said you didn't like the original you shouldn't make a video about hating it if you never liked it in the first place
The last time I touched the game was 10 years ago… When I was 10 years old. I never really gave the game a proper chance so the port was a good chance to try it again
@@Dylonic Ah well its good that you gave the game a second chance and the only reason it didn't look that graphical cause it wasn't made the old dev's since they are currently making luigi's mansion 4

As someone who has never played Luigi's Mansion before this doesn't really bother me because I've actually never played the game before and I have no intention of getting this game, although I have been somewhat curious of Luigi's Mansion 3.

I never really understood the hate for this game, though I’m biased myself lol. Even after playing the OG and LM3 my opinion never changed. but I’d still agree the port is lazy asf. 60 for a game that has minimal changes is not a good price.
This is one of the worst videos I ever had to watch. It's just constant hating on non-issues. I'm too lazy to write whole sentences about how bad this video is so I'll make a list: -Mission Structure is not tedious. Being pulled out after every mission almost always has a reason to it. The dialouge with E. Gadd is so funny and I love reading through it -Almost every mission let's you explore new rooms. The levels are not "slightly altered". They're completely new -Game controls better than Luigi's Mansion 3, though that could just be me -Skyscraper is not new, it already was in the original game -The lack of marketing is not suspicious because it's a HD version of the original game -Game looks so much better than the original and no, the Luigi model is not ripped from Luigi's Mansion 3 -It was marketed as a HD port and not as a remake or a remaster. So don't expect new features It is a crime that this game costs 60 dollars but that's the only point that is actually right in this video. The rest is just hating for the sake of hating.
I commend NLG for making a 3DS game look fresh and appealing, remodeling a majority of the models is no doubt a bit tedious. But I do really wish there were more changes, especially quality of life improvements, like being able to aim freely with the right stick, making Luigi auto run after a bit, or have the strobulb and the dark light also have button mapping on the bumpers. Don't get me wrong, I feel like people were over hyping a basic port, but even if there isn't much new content, bringing some QOL changes can help an older game out
I can agree with the over price but people need to chill out and the games visuals. This is a HD port, we really shouldn't have expected luigis mansion 3 levels of detail
