One of your better establishments you've reviewed. Some place serving something that is different than mass produced food and is unique and not a chain resturant.
Like Beefy King ....😂 I'm retro too lol (64yr old humor)I love this place and they have actually expanded their hrs lol😊 Have also gone to Hot dog heaven... there is also another fun place to go to around that area, all the food is sold outside from food trucks and entertainment is inside tables and chairs are in both areas... Kinds cool dining experience don't t miss Kappy's in Maitland 😊
The Beefy King opened in 1968. The first time I went was in 1970 when my dad took me after a doctor appointment. I really liked it then, but I recently had a sandwich there, and it was just OK. I will say that they are better than Arby's. Thanks for sharing your experience! I have enjoyed watching your subscribers' numbers grow from 1,100 to 11,000+!! Keep growing 😊
What great memories! Thank you so much for being a loyal subscriber. It’s tough posting every day but we are trying to keep it growing! We enjoyed this sandwich a lot!
Considering we didn’t go there when it originally opened, to us it looked retro since we never knew what original looked like lol. But thanks for letting us know that it is originally what it looked like and it’s awesome!
If you get a chance try Gabriel’s Subs on Edgewater Drive just south of the Edgewater High School opened in 1958 My family loved going to Beefy King. I got the Ham sandwich the family is great highly recommend
I lived in Orlando 20 years ago, and loved going to Beefy King. I especially loved their Pastrami sandwich. I also loved getting Chicago Dogs at Hot Dog Heaven. In fact, that's where I had my first Chicago Dog. I now live in St. Pete, but this video is making me want to go back to Beefy King.
amazing how good food brings the crowds in and people accept old style decor and stuff..... its the food thats important and how it should be.... most restaurants have fancy decor and lousy food today
My friend that i travrl with used to work at an Arby's. I love roast beef. I am not a horsey fan but i do love provolone. Hopefully when my friend and i get to FL we will try Beefy King. Thanks for the review
There used to be a restaurant in St Pete called Rollende et Pierre that had the best roast beef sandwich I have ever had…. Sadly closed awhile back but I can’t still remember how it tasted…….800 yrs ago lol
@@thealtemlife Try a Pit beef sandwich in Baltimore if you ever go by there. They dont have them in Fla as its a regional thing. But they are much better than even beefy King. And get it with Boardwalk Fries, another regional item which is skin on fries deepfried in peanut oil and cider vinegar not those lame tator tots BK serves. Cheers!
This looks like a step up from Arby’s . This pales in comparison to the North Shore beef from any beefery north of Boston. A north shore beef 3 way(American cheese, James river bbq sauce, mayo) on a griddled roll. I miss this living in Central Florida. Will definitely checkout Beefy King
We like a lot of your choices for review but is there any reason why you don’t really show anyone else’s food at the table and your camera angle is always looking up your nose? It’s not very appetizing.
Retro, means not woke or corrupted by corporate accountants, a normal business,P.S. tember is always so pretty and fresh looking ,really adds to the video

It was good!
FINALLY! THANK YOU! Beefy King is the best sandwich in Orlando!

Kappy’s - LEGENDARY Hot Dogs & Sandwiches…
I drove past there last week. I love the nostalgia and roast beef with horseradish sauce. I'm gonna have to try it. Thanks guys! 😊
Hope you enjoy! It was so good!
Love their roast beef sandwichs, dont even need sauces! Tots can be hit or miss but prices are reasonable and nice to support a local business.
Yeah it was good!
I love Beefy King!
It’s so good!
Love Beefy King!
So good!
Apparently this spot is popular in Central Florida and glad you guys did a video 📹!
It was great! If you get a chance to go, do it!
Can’t wait to try this !!
It was so good!

I chuckled when you said retro😅. Actually original. My mom would takes us there to that restaurant.
Considering we didn’t go there when it originally opened, to us it looked retro since we never knew what original looked like lol. But thanks for letting us know that it is originally what it looked like and it’s awesome!
@thealtemlife i have to go back now. It's about an hour away
@gregbenefield7658 it was so good! Well worth the drive!
Opened in the late 60s! Retro to me!😊
Beefy King is awesome!!!!!! My office is right up the street from there
Oh I would eat there all the time!
If you get a chance try Gabriel’s Subs on Edgewater Drive just south of the Edgewater High School opened in 1958
My family loved going to Beefy King. I got the Ham sandwich the family is great highly recommend
Stop it. The natives don't need all these transplants clogging up our gems.
I don't want to get robbed.
I love horsey!
It’s good!

I need this!
It’s so good!
Right down Bumby Ave. is my favorite record store in Orlando, Retro Records. I’ll usually combine a trip to Beefy King AND Retro Records…
Brendon & Carr in Brooklyn is the absolute best. You also get aujus sauce. To die for.
Place was so busy!
Yeah and very good!
👍👍
Thanks!
Started going to Beefy King after softball league (Lake Lorna Doone) in the early 70’s.
Awesome! We really enjoyed it!
amazing how good food brings the crowds in and people accept old style decor and stuff..... its the food thats important and how it should be.... most restaurants have fancy decor and lousy food today
Agreed! This is very accurate!

Awesome! We hope you get to try it also. It’s so good!
In the early 70s I worked in a “franchise” called Heap Big Beef. It lasted a couple of years till Arby’s came around.
Everything i own is retro and made in the USA. Sliced beef sandwich is delish.
Awesome!
If u like Beefy Kings also try High Tide Harrys in Orlando! Its a seafood restaurant. 10 minutes from the airport! Located on Semoran Blvd!😊
A few years ago, there was a fire that shut down Beefy King for months.
They couldn’t re-open the place fast enough for us locals…😂
Arby’s used to use real meat and changed to processed but I found a recipe to make it from real beef…yum. I would love to try this!!!!!
Oh interesting! Yeah this place is amazing!
Don't offend Beefy King with Arbys!😮
There used to be a restaurant in St Pete called Rollende et Pierre that had the best roast beef sandwich I have ever had…. Sadly closed awhile back but I can’t still remember how it tasted…….800 yrs ago lol
Haha! Wish it was open so we could try it! Thanks for sharing!
I used to stop by there whenever I was in the area, great rb sandwiches. They need to franchise or at least open a few more locatons.
It's such a classic but would agree! They should open a few more spots. That would be nice!

American pie it🎉
Next time get the double double roast beef
Good to know! Thanks!
On the sauces: "I can't remember, sorry" I can hear Tinder saying that to her math teacher.....lol..
Retro or Original ???
Haha maybe a little bit of both?
That might be the first salad I've ever seen at Beefy King.?
It was huge!
Try Chicago Pizza at icy king!!!! ( on 466 in Leesburgh) Very good
We will have to try that! Thanks!
@ 🤞hope you like it…
Mix horsey & sweet BBQ sauces. 👍
Oh that sounds like a good combo!
Alex likes sweet. That's why he married Tember.
Correct! She is so sweet and kind! Thanks!
7:01 before we actually saw a sandwich, then didn't see the inside.
Yup
I put horsy and bbq on my sandwich..
That’s a good combo!
I like horsey sauce.
Good choice!
Pro move try the sauces with the tots first. You'd hate to dump your least favorite sauce on the sandwich and not your favorite!
There are restrooms outside by the drive thru…
Great info! Thanks!

Much more than a step up from Arby's
It definitely was!
Wish we would have know when we did our Boston trip! That would have been great to try!
I wonder if this is where Arby's roast beef got their idea...
Based on the dates we looked up, Arby’s opened before so we thought that was interesting!
If you've eaten at Arbys, you've eaten at Beefy King in Orlando.
This was definitely better than Arby’s.
@@thealtemlifeWasn't last time I went there. But I'll give it another chance.
Closes at 3pm??? Wtf
We like a lot of your choices for review but is there any reason why you don’t really show anyone else’s food at the table and your camera angle is always looking up your nose? It’s not very appetizing.
Well we do show everyone’s food.
@ ok 👍
Retro or just old? LOL
Both maybe? Lol
Their hot BBQ sauce is great.
It was good! Hot but good lol
Merch sales benefit the Russell of Orlando, the Russell home of Orlando for atypical children is a loving charity
Why tf is this kid wearing gym shorts while working at a restaurant inside
Retro, means not woke or corrupted by corporate accountants, a normal business,P.S. tember is always so pretty and fresh looking ,really adds to the video
Thank you! That is kind of you to say about Tember!
This is the dumbest comment I’ve read in the internet today. Congrats. 🏆
You guys are whats wrong with food now days.
Good one
Sorry, but the best roast beef sandwiches in the world are North shore beef in Mass
