We have 2 cats and we've been using this for almost 3 years now. I can say it's worth our money. It's not really bad, it's easy to use and cleaner than scooping the clumps.
Pro pet sitter here. I have clients who have used earlier iterations of this litter box. They always end up removing the sifter. The box looks deceptively normal-sized, but the sifter shrinks the interior. Cats are happier with the greater space. Incidentally, with any version of this box, don't throw away your litter scoop. There will still be occasions when you'll need it.
I am wheelchair enabled and this is the only litter box that I can use (without severe pain). If you are wheelchair enabled or know of someone who is, please recommend this to them. Especially if they are living on limited income. I know that it's recommended to have an extra litter box and if I lived in a larger place I would be saving up to buy a second one and I still might do that. But it did take some time to save up for the first one. However this is much cheaper than the electric automatic ones and overall costs are lower for the use as well. It's really easy for my cat to get into but if you had to, you could just use a shoe box that has been made stronger (put extra cardboard and a weight inside) and you can use it as a great step for your small or aging kitty.

I don't understand why the crystal litter doesn't work. The poop still be sifted away and the litter will be collected in the container. The pee will already be absorbed by the litter. So what's wrong?

This litter box is great for only one cat it does not hold enough cat litter for my 7, I havetidump it daily wasting the plastic bags. And I need a ton of bags
It's pretty high off the floor, I don't think this would work for young or senior cats. And I noticed when the cat left the box she was hit with the door and her tail was caught in the door. Why must there be doors on everything? If people would clean the box on a daily basis there would be no odor.
I have a Lot of cats. The powered cat boxes are Expensive and I'd need a lot of them. I am thinking of designing a litter box that uses mechanical mechanisms to sift the litter when the weight gets to a certain amount. I'll be using the sifting wood pellets method instead of clay litter. It smells like pine wood, No odor from urine. When the mechanism trips the solid waste goes into a bag to be tossed for daily removal. When the bottom pan fills up with sawdust in a few weeks, it gets dumped from the bag I'm using as a cat box liner or you could use a compostable bag to simply toss it in the compost. You only need to add wood pellets as the litter goes down and not touch anything else for 3 weeks aside from tossing the solid waste bag once a day and adding wood pellets when needed. To me it couldn't be simpler or cleaner. All this can already be done except you have to manually remove the solid waste 3 times a day and I aim to make it that much easier.
I bet that the shiter grate are way too wide letting pee & poop excape and remain in with the litter to me that is not being clean. I like it but this needs to be upgraded to different kind of very narrow passway in the grate.
Got this for our cat but It didn’t work out well for them. The fumes below the box made him stop going in the box even with cleaning it daily and emptying the tray below every 2-3 days. Overall it’s pretty redundant and more work for the user. Definitely not worth the money.
I refuse to use the upper liner bag. With all the folds, not all of the clumps do not fall out. Removing the liner makes it much easier to separate the good litter from the clumps. Also, the handle pops off from the upper bin. So, I had to place a nut, bolt and washer to secure it. My wife likes it and I think it's junk.
I have been using it for 2 months and it's really worth it..I have 4 cats and the size is really suitable for adult cat too.Usually I will clean all the part of this litter box once a week and for one day the litter box already full because I have 4 cat so I need to throw away the cat litter plastic under it.

DO NOT USE THIS. It collapsed on my cats after about 2 months of use. Its poorly designed as the handle stops clicking in place after a while so the bin moves while the cat is inside. Lucky I was home as my cat fell through to the bottom. ITS DANGEROUS
No self scooping system is really going to do the whole job. You have to get all of the little bits that break off of the clumps too. Many cats will tear holes in the bag when scratching. And others make their deposits on the side of the bin so it sticks to the sides. Both of which cause problems for self scooping systems and litter liners.
@@Reichsritter The electric ones require just as much maintenance, if not more. Cats peeing on the side and clumps getting stuck in the grate aren't eliminated by an electric motor. Any model you get will require you to clean the inside occasionally.
@@eininw I've been using one for 6 months now, they require one cleaning every 8 weeks maybe and besides that just change the bag and add litter. 100% worth it
These boxes have a fatal flaw. If the clump is too big, it will scrape off on the sides as you remove the drawer. It leaves a nasty mess stuck to the interior walls of the box. I threw mine away. I wouldn't want to curse another human with it.
This looks to be way too tall I know my cats will not use this. And the bags I would not be using that neither if I bought this. That's just more money to spend and more money out of my pocket being I would need three of these boxes I have four cats.
WTF?! THAT is what CLUMPING LITTER takes care of_ the PEE! It ain't for the SOLID waste! The poo just sort of lays there and is dumped with the clumps. Sheesh!
Agario 【ŤᑌℛŤĹᗴ】 Sweetheart, clumping litter has very little, if ANY, effect towards kitty POO, unless maybe if it is a bit 'runny'_ ewww. CLUMPING litter, as this unit is designed to use, is for 'taking in' the pee and forming-up into a firm clump for easy disposal. Some firm-up nice, others can tend to fall apart. So it seems to always be a HUNT to find the BEST clump-er brand for not too much money. Some of the brands out there cost a pretty penny.

I have been using it for 2 months and it's really worth it..I have 4 cats and the size is really suitable for adult cat too.Usually I will clean all the part of this litter box once a week and for one day the litter box already full because I have 4 cat so I need to throw away the cat litter plastic under it.
Guna pasir jenis apa? Sy guna tofu tp clump die tu melekat pd permukaan bekas.. xturun2..
@@sitinorfaizahabdulkhalid8722Saya guna yang jenis clay macam pasir batu kecik ii tu
@@hanahkeropok mmg xmelekat pada bekas la ye? Brand ape?
@@sitinorfaizahabdulkhalid8722 Jenama nekiwi..(sodium bentonite clumping cat litter) ni nama panjangnya..biasanya kalau kucingnya kencing memang akan melekat sikit tapi saya tepuk ii sikit je biar pasir yg melekat tu jatuh but overall okay je dah setahun jugak guna
@@hanahkeropok i see.. ok tq info..
DO NOT USE THIS. It collapsed on my cats after about 2 months of use. Its poorly designed as the handle stops clicking in place after a while so the bin moves while the cat is inside. Lucky I was home as my cat fell through to the bottom. ITS DANGEROUS
Holy shit! Thanks for sharing!
It is not available on Amazon
Doesn't hold enough litter
Catsike to urinate standing. This will not work and it is hard to clean.
I prefer the Catboxpro, the self-flushing litter box.
Regane piro om?

What litter do u use for the smart sift?
Any litter will work...
+BigApplePetSupply Hi, will non-clumping natural pine wood litter work with smart sift?
+BigApplePetSupply does it work effectively with crystal litter since it does not clump? What about urine in this case?
+Aboud Bakkour no you have to use clumping litter
ANY good, quality litter that CLUMPS will work fine. Some are GREAT, some not-so-much. Try as many as you need until you find the best for your needs.
To match plastic, better youse paper, better for nature
No self scooping system is really going to do the whole job. You have to get all of the little bits that break off of the clumps too. Many cats will tear holes in the bag when scratching. And others make their deposits on the side of the bin so it sticks to the sides. Both of which cause problems for self scooping systems and litter liners.
Get an electric one, they usually don't need any maintenance
And did you notice how the cat's tail was caught in the door?
@@Reichsritter The electric ones require just as much maintenance, if not more. Cats peeing on the side and clumps getting stuck in the grate aren't eliminated by an electric motor. Any model you get will require you to clean the inside occasionally.
@@eininw I've been using one for 6 months now, they require one cleaning every 8 weeks maybe and besides that just change the bag and add litter. 100% worth it
@@Reichsritterwhich one is that??
Yeah people wont want to buy extra bags etc.... nice concept though
I got the Omega cat litter box. Waaaay easier. This thing has too many parts.
Please give me Amazon link
Too much work, the clumping I find it's hard to get rid off
i need this
"Eco Friendly" it uses plastic bags
She’s really pretty 🥺
These boxes have a fatal flaw. If the clump is too big, it will scrape off on the sides as you remove the drawer. It leaves a nasty mess stuck to the interior walls of the box. I threw mine away. I wouldn't want to curse another human with it.
Plz muja chiy
My cats fear lids or I’d like to try this
I'll stick with my litter robot connect 😉
The turds look like moonrocks
hahaha smoke 1
Its $70!!! I think I'll get a robotic box instead. If I'm going lazy and absent minded I'm going all out!
This looks to be way too tall I know my cats will not use this. And the bags I would not be using that neither if I bought this. That's just more money to spend and more money out of my pocket being I would need three of these boxes I have four cats.
Webb site not bring me to this system. Only showed reptiles. Lost my interest.
Oh no, that's too high for a cat to jump, what about senior cats and what about the poop smears?
heavensentmj09 I haven't bought this product but I know that there are cat stairs to high litter boxes and even to high beds. I hope this helps.
plastic bags, plastic bags, plastic bags... screw this crap and switch to the manual wood pellet sifting system. The best by far.
What if it does a pee cause cats do that you know
WTF?! THAT is what CLUMPING LITTER takes care of_ the PEE! It ain't for the SOLID waste! The poo just sort of lays there and is dumped with the clumps. Sheesh!
You are absolutely correct in that I have anger towards folks who are too lazy to read directions, and/or THINK about a products intended PURPOSE.
