I absolutely love Johnny Cash mainly because he brings his songs to life literally those two notes that you can hear in a pattern if you listen close you can hear the heartbeat he gives it
He looks skinny. He struggled all his life against his addiction. Love him for his voice, his songs and his sympathy for the poor, workmen, people in prison. RIP Man in Black.
Actually, he looks fine in this clip, even considering that he was deep into his additions by 1964. He looked in much worse shape in 1966-67 footage just before the turnaround. There is that footage of him and Bob Dylan stoned as hell when they met during Dylan's '66 tour peforming I'm So Lonesome, I Could Cry with Dylan at piano.
