      Neither one was tall. Clyde was slight and Bonnie was petite, in contrast to how big their names and reputations eventually became. And you could say they were still "kids." When they died, Bonnie was 23 and Clyde was 25.

      Some of these look to be incorrect. I think some are pics of relatives, and some of Bonnie's pics are actually her sister. The one of Bonnie behind the counter was not their hideout, but a restaurant she worked at before running with Clyde.

    Wow incredible collection here, have not seen alot of these. Thanks for posting. It's ok to enjoy a piece of history without glorifying their crimes. Bear in mind alot of crimes they were accused of they did NOT commit. Town officials of alot of podunk places used their name for the fame. There were alot of people running around knocking over banks and gas stations at that time because they were starving and homeless. Not justifying it. It's just a fact.

      or killed so many underpaid police and gas station attendants. Most of their robberies were small time gas station holdups, grocers, even gumball machines. These kids were not heros but small time murderers and thieves.

    • @jayhallman6666
      @jayhallman6666 5 років тому +6

      Yeah, most of the so called gun battles was shooting cops before they knew what hit them. But the last few gun battles was the real deal. And it was easy for Gangsters to outrun the law back in the Depression with their stolen V8’s and BAR Military weapons. That was a time in History when the bad guys had the upper hand on the law.

      Yeah, Clyde was such a tough guy that he couldn't even protect himself from man rape while he was in prison. Just a thug with a gun and zero humanity. And his time at Eastham Prison was horric. R*ped repeatedly by a prisoner twice his size. Clyde eventually killed him. Eastham guards used to get a bonus for capturing prisoners dead or alive. Guards would take a prisoner into the woods and kill him, then claim the bonus. When they told Clyde he was going into the woods the next day, he knew what that meant. So he chopped off two of his toes so he could stay in the infirmary. Eastham taught him to hate and he vowed he'd rather die than go back there.

    They both look different in different pictures. I think Clyde doesn't even look at all like the same guy. One thing for sure, Clyde's face shows wear far beyond his years. People forget just how young they were. The civil war had only ended 60-70 years earlier. They were still talking to people who fought/lived thru it. Hostile feelings to begin with. A depression that left no hope to the already hopeless. Add that with youth and a twisted wire in the head and you have Bonnie and Clyde. You know they were very young and dumb. Desperate outlaws on the run and they keep taking pictures of themselves.

      I believe they were right yes...they did confront the local and national elite...because they were anti-capitalist...through this class conflict...bonnie and claid were right yes...they made the right decisions ... and led the American people to one of the social reflections that still perjures up to this day... today they are popular legends and no wonder... they had courage... that many hypocritical people do not have today. ... and make the necessary changes ... that humanity needs .... this social model adopted by the united states ... that swore to fight tyranny and mysticism ... swore ... to defend freedom and democracy ... today for the interests of a hypocritical and imperialist elite ... it puts itself in the place ... of tyranny and oppression ... today they defend the profits of their elites as hypocrisy... no they were right and they made a true social revolution. may God have mercy on their souls and may they rest in peace.
