It's a weird feeling. We know what happened, and where, as we realize, they unaware of what was about to take place, ate their last meals...That museum is amazingly well stocked! I hope to see it, one day. *Thanks for taking us with you, Nick...The way they died was horrendous, but the innocent lives they took, came to an end, because of their deaths...
The window frame at the museum, I was gonna say I would’ve paid for a piece of wood from that original gas station rubble. Good job thank you travels with Nick
What a great video! I just played Bonnie in Bonnie and Clyde the musical! If you haven’t heard it, listen to the music, it’s fantastic! Hope to one day see this museum.
The Museum was started by [My Former Boss] Ken Holmes Jr and Ted Hinton's Son "Boots" Hinton. They originally had a museum in Downtown Dallas Texas (On Jefferson Blvd.) and then moved it to Gibsland because the rent was too expensive in Dallas and they were usually in Gibsland for festivals and celebrations. Ken passed in 2012 and Boots in 2016. I believe the Death Car photos have Ken in the Cowboy hat. I am unaware of them ever calling that car the genuine death car as the Death Car has been in Primm Valley Casino in Nevada. The car Ken purchased is the car that was used in the Bonnie and Clyde movie. Ken was also a researcher and expert in the JFK Assassination (He Appeared as an Extra in the movie) and wrote books, newspapers, and gave talks. He believed (So he told me) that Charles Harrelson, the father of Woody Harrelson, who was a contract killer (Died in jail for having killed a San Antonio Judge) was the man on the Grassy Knoll. Interesting that his son would go on to portray a Law Man associated with another Dallas related tragedy and would appear at Ken's Museum. BTW I just saw your part one video of sites in Dallas related to Bonnie and Clyde. I've visited both graves often. I stop in and see Bonnie and her Mom once or twice a year. From the cafe, going west through the Swiss Avenue neighborhood there were a few buildings that have been removed or repurposed. One was a glass and mirror company that Clyde did deliverers for. I often wonder if at lunchtime might the guys working at the glass shop have stopped in the local diner where Bonnie was working and possibly gotten a glimpse at his future companion. I guess we will never know.
Thank you! The actual death car is in Nevada at a casino. That's on my list to make it there someday! The cars in this museum are just replicas. Thanks for checking out my channel!
@@larryhullinger4141it’s no longer housed at the Whiskey Pete’s property, or at least it wasn’t the last time I visited. The whole stateline area is owned/operated by Primm Valley resorts and they have since acquired other vehicles and crime memorabilia from the early 20th century. They are house across the highway at the Primm Valley Resort. The B&C car was housed from the late 80s until the late 90s or early 2000s at Whiskey Pete’s before moving to a bigger venue.
Actually, some of those photos were found in the film of a camera that was left behind at the garage apartment in Joplin Missouri after they fled when a police raid was attempted and they had to shoot their way out to escape in their car. Those included the famous photos of Bonnie holding Clyde at mock gunpoint and of Bonnie with her foot on a fender, pistol in her hand and cigar in her mouth which were printed isn the newspaper. Those were the first photos the public had a chance to see what they looked like.
I was curious as to whether they had had the opportunity to eat their sandwiches or not since it was only 7 miles up the road from the restaurant. Seems Clyde died hungry. I saw the Bonnie and Clyde movie when it first came out at the movie theaters in '67. I was only 10. Sort of surprised now that they allowed me in with all the violence and shooting and killing depicted in the movie, I went by myself. I still vividly remember Fay Dunaway's partially nude scene at the window. Pretty hot stuff for a 10 year old back then! 🤣
I believe they ordered the sandwiches and got right back on the road. Not sure if they actually were able to eat much. Funny story about the movie 🍿 lol! Thanks for watching 😎✌️
Bro, they didn’t sit down and eat. Bonnie ran inside, and picked up the sandwiches. At the time of death, Bonnie had eaten half her sandwich and Clyde hadn’t touched his
I know there are hundreds of stories like this however, my grandmother once said that Bonnie and Clyde drove through her front yard in Arkansas while running from the police. I know that’s a common story L O L

The photos are from a camera recovered from the Joplin hideout in April 1933.

Wow that’s amazing thanks for sharing all this info!!
Both Bonnie and Clyde were very young. A sad story really.
A sad story overall in the American history books. I’m glad places like this exist though. Thanks for watching!!
It was unreal. Heros to some. Villains to others
Thanks for watching!
Really interesting Nick, the Costner film is superb. Which death car is considered the authentic one and where is it?

It's at Whiskey Pete's casino in Primm Nevada

True.
Ted Hinton was 29 in May, 1934.
Thanks for the info and checking out my video!
Is he still alive?
@@Johndoe345-k2d Yep, old Ted is still with us, seen him on Rogan a couple of months ago.
The original car is in Las Vegas inside a Casino
Yup that’s on my list!
The movie the highway men is an excellent movie. And the death scene was filmed in the same location where it actually happened.
I love that movie. Must’ve watched it 6x lol. Thanks for watching!
@@TravelswithNick I have it on my hard drive and watch it at least once a week.
Why are people so intrigued with criminals doing evil
That’s a good question. And to be honest I’m not sure lol. I like the historical side of their story

From what I read Bonnie was still clutching her “ Ham Sandwich “ but it may have been a BLT! Sad ending but it had to happen to save others!
So where is the actual "death car"? Just curious??? Enjoy your videos...thanks for sharing 😊
The actual death car is in a casino in Nevada. Hope to make it there. Thanks so much!
Pistol Pete’s in Nevada. It’s in the middle of the casino. Free to see as well as the shirt Clyde was wearing. Other things from Marie
My husband and I were Bonnie and Clyde for Halloween
Haha cool. Thanks for watching!

Yea that was an error on my part at the time of this recording
Wrong Clyde went in Bonnie could hardly walk from the bridge accident..

Holy cow! Crazy!
Hey too bad the museum didn't have the original sandwiches preserved LOL. Great videos, very informative.
LOL good one. Thanks for watching!
The death car is in Nevada
Yes it is it's on my future video list! Thanks for watching!
Ho there's a section in the museum about the victims they killed
Bonnie wore a size 4 shoe those look to big
Good point! Thanks for watching and commenting. I have a bunch of new Bonnie and Clyde videos coming out this year 😎
That’s 15 minutes from my house.
That’s pretty cool! I guess you’ve been there before ?
