  • This video is an overview of the installation process for our front 3-point seat belts that are year-and-car-specific. It is not intended to be used as a step-by-step guide - please use the detailed instructions included in each set.
    Each set of our front seat belts comes with both driver and passenger side reels that are fully assembled with their year-and-car-specific bracket in the correct orientation for your floorpan, top bracket covers, both female ends with your choice of Starburst or GM push button buckles, and all Grade 8 bolts and washers needed for installation.
    See all of the years/cars we offer on www.morrisclassic.com, as well as our matching lap belts (sold separately).

    Not only they're going keep people safe, but make sure the driver and passengers don't get pulled over for not wearing seatbelts. Thank you Morris Classics.

    Thanks for a great video! As an interpreter for Deaf & Hard of Hearing students who take automotive courses & utilize these videos, I have a piece of humble feedback should this comment gets back to the video creators: please consider editing the English closed captions so that they are accurate (it takes very little time and once done and saved will help those with hearing loss or hearing trouble from being in a noisy shop). Thanks all. Great work!

    I just installed these in my '69 Camaro. Very simple to do (if you have factory shoulder belts). I have TMI Pro Series Sport-OE seats and ordered my Morris belts with the 9" bracket. It moves the reel all the way to just in front of the back seat. Moving the reel to this location also makes it easier to get in/out of the backseats. The brackets are so well designed that they form perfectly around the side of the wider TMI seats and don't interfere with the reclining handle. Very impressed with these.

    WOW! Thank You! I am in the middle of a 90% Restoration of a 1967 Chevelle Malibu HT. It came with Seat Belts but I never knew about their being Prepped for Shoulder Harnesses. I bought the car new in 12/66 and was trying to see if there were any way to install Shoulder harnesses. The reason I say 90% Resto, I am not doing a Frame off as Wife and I can't afford $50K+ as We are in our 70's. One little question.....Do they come only in the Black, Red, and Blue? My car came in Gold and I'm going back original. If no Gold, I may doing something "Wacky" and use your Red rather than a "Sane Person's Black"! LOL! P.S. We went on our Honeymoon 7 Months after I bought the Car! Been married 5 WONDERFUL YEARS. (52 Altogether!) LOL!

      The blue front 3-point shown in this video is our Powder Blue #4005 color! There is a lap belt shown in the backseat towards the end of the video in Blue #4002. We can also send out free color samples if you'd like to see all of our blue options prior to ordering as well. Please use the contact form on www.morrisclassic.com to request samples with your mailing address if needed!

      Samuel,
      As long as you order the correct year-and-car-specific set for your 1974 Firebird, they'll bolt into all of the factory locations and replace the originals! I have put the direct link to the ones for your car below so you can view them in our online store - they do look different than the seat belts shown in the video since they are for a '74.

    Do you have any that will work for a 69' Pontiac grand prix? I have lap belts, & I am so use to having my upper body secure too.

    Does the lap belt portion stay tight while driving or is it loose until you hit something?

    • @morrisclassic1308
      @morrisclassic1308  Рік тому +1

      The lap portion does stay across your waist while driving (not too tight, but in the same place) due to the male buckle having a retention bar vs. being free-floating. In other words, wherever you set that male buckle bar to be is where it will stay when driving but can be moved anywhere up or down the webbing for a comfortable fit. The seat belt assembly itself is speed-sensitive so the reel will lock up if the webbing is pulled quickly or jerked at all. Please let us know if you have any questions (you can also email us directly at sales@morrisclassic.com), and thank you for your interest in our seat belts!

    What if your car was never made with seat belts? How do u out seat belts in there then?

    • @morrisclassic1308
      @morrisclassic1308  5 років тому

      Luke,
      We make year-and-car-specific front 3-point seat belts that install in the factory mounting locations. However, some cars have the factory mounting locations even if they didn't come from the factory with seat belts installed. If you want to email us at sales@morrisclassic.com about your car, we can see if we have anything that will work for you!

    are there pre installed threads on the car ?

    • @morrisclassic1308
      @morrisclassic1308  6 років тому +3

      Yes, if you have a GM car that was made in February 1966 or later, your car already has the threaded factory holes in the top and floorpan. Our seat belts bolt into these pre-existing holes. Let us know if you have any other questions!
