***First Impressions Update***
Foundation: Although I need something more hydrating rn, I will say, this looked really balanced at the end of the night! I’ll be trying it again because it could potentially wear really well- I just need to prep my skin better! :)
Mascara:The mascara didn’t smudge or flake!! So far so good.. I’ll be wearing this as much as possible over the next several days to see how I like it! I’ll be sure to update you :)
Lip: The lip left a really nice stain and wore off well! It’s a super fun color and the formula is buildable which I like, I’m just only wearing lip balm at the moment haha!

Yess I was just going to comment the same thing. I would love to see a dark pink/fusha, fading to purple eye, with really dark/black outer corner with a hint of a pink shimmer in the middle. Or a black halo eye with fusha glitter in the middle.

I would love to see your take on a sultry look for Valentine’s Day! I think we get so many cutesy, soft, demure looks from other influencers for nearly everything. I vote for something sultry, sexy, with depth, but wearable and and not editorial.

Thank you for focusing on drugstore. I just cannot afford the high end brands. Honestly, it is getting soi cannot afford many of the drugstore brands as prices have increased so much over the past couple of years. Appreciate your expertise and opinions. Love you Allie.
Same here! The drugstore makeup prices are getting ridiculous. I’m really doing my research before buying anything. It’s great that you can return products though.
I’ve also always loved blush, and I remember so many years ago watching UA-camrs just skip blush all together and just wear bronzer in place of it. 🤯 I’m so glad everyone is on the blush train now. ☺️ it’s so flattering

I tend to love more vintage looks for Valentine’s Day (red lipstick, pink blush, sometimes a cute cat eye). But I also love neutral blush pink makeup looks so would love a more subtle, romantic and shimmery option if either of those interest you 😊 also, I just wanted to say that you are one of my favorite UA-camrs! I love that you interact with your subscribers and are always so thoughtful with your makeup reviews/content ❤
I work at an Ulta and you are 100% correct. We re-arrange our drugstore displays maybe twice a year.. soo yeah if you want new products on our shelves you either have to launch it in the beginning of the year or in the summer🤷🏼♀️

Allie, great video! Old gals like me used to separate caked lashes with a straight pin looking into a 5x mag mirror! It works while the product is still wet, but be careful!! *do at your own risk!

I love the new blush trend of circling around the temple edge of eyebrow and top of the cheek all swirled around in a circle it looks really beautiful and ties a look together it's also a real quick way of looking put together but quick out the door easy everyday look if you just do base the brows the blush technique mascara and lip balm done stunning 😍
We changed our cosmetic displays twice per year at CVS. January and July. Sometimes merchandisers would come in during other months with a small change to displays, but this was uncommon. New products launched at other times of year would come in cardboard prepack displays for shelf display.

I'm a blush girl also. I'm in my 50's and have always loved blush. The only makeup I really ever used until my 40's was eyeliner, blush and lipgloss. When I got married I did my own makeup and didn't even wear foundation or mascara. I wanted to look like myself.
I think grungy valentines looks need to become more popular! They can be such pretty looks.

EVERYONE seems to do pinks and reds for Valentine's day. Something cool toned that still somehow captures the spirit of Valentine's day. I liked the one idea that mentioned a dark moody candle lit look.
I was so happy to see u pick the red blush to try! I’m also fair skinned, especially this time of year, but LOVE those shades. I think it would be awesome with a darker bronze eye look that has some orange tones in it. Thanks for trying out the makeup for us! As for a Valentine’s Day look, this is my first one where I’m single in a long time but still want to feel pretty and good about myself. I’d like to see an eye look using mostly shades of pink and mauve.

Hair down but one side pulled back at the ear with a beautiful barrette or hair comb. The makeup Smokey and sultry. The kind of look that goes with a garter belt thigh high stocking for the peekaboo high slit of my dress. Which is a modest cut at the neckline and more back revealing. First time in a long time getting dressed up for Valentine’s Day. ❤
Allie, you got me into blush! I used to be afraid of blush and now it's one of my most favorite products to use and buy!
The green color corrector might be better for the acne coverage. I also always put some sort of lip balm/ chapstick on before I apply any other lip products. I just got a goodie bag of new (to me) makeup and skincare products from a coworker who wasn't going to use them & can't wait to start trying them out!
You need to get a mascara comb! I bought mine on amazon for $5 and it helps my mascara not clump. I love it!

Hey, Allie! I tried both the peach and yellow color correctors under my eyes, as I have significant dark circles. I’ve always tried peach and never felt like they helped! The peach elf corrector did seem to help just a tad bit, but the yellow was insane! I wish I could post a pic of a before and after!
I keep an old mascara wand to separate my lashes if they clump from whatever mascara I am using. I wash it off after using the old wand. I didn't keep the tube because it was old. It was a small wand that I got at Ulta. It's their brand.

Blush adds life to the face! I cannot do my makeup without it. I also need to be light handed due to my fair skin. And yes, the cold Utah air has been so hard on my hands!
We're staying in for valentines because it's always too crazy to go anywhere. Every year we get a heartbaker pizza at Papa Murphys and just spend the night watching a movie or playing games😊
The NYX Bare With Me Hydrating Face & Body Concealer Serum is my favorite everyday full glam concealer. I still have to get the Elf Camo Color Corrector in Blue for my foundations.

We eat these on the regular in Brazil, on their own as a snack or side to salads, mixed with a cucumber/tomato salad, or as a pizza topping! All great stuff.
Fun video! Just an FYI: pregnancy left my skin, all over, so dry I couldn't believe it. If had to add Utah dryness, I probably would have just dried up & blown away..LOL. I'm much older than you (62) so available skincare wasn't as available/talked about. So baby oil & Ponds were my fixes..fun memories..thanks. For Valentines Day my husband and I are going out for the 1st time in years. Usually we celebrate in home. I know I'm not your major demographic, but I love learning from you. For Valentines I'd request a sophisticated glamorous look. Not overly complicated or crazy, but beautiful. Enjoy motherhood...you'll turn around and the years have passed and you are loving your grandchildren if so blessed.

I finally tried the L’Oréal Telescopic Lift mascara - I will say it was harder to use the paddle side with my hooded eyes - so I don’t think I got the length a lot of other people get. But it lasts! I’m on vacation and left my makeup on for 24 hours - not a flake in sight!

I have been using the pixi flawless beauty primer for years now and I personally love it but it only comes in the one colour- it’s something I wear instead of foundation in the summer. I have not bothered to try the CT flawless filter because this product works so well and a little goes a long way. I think it gives an incredible glow but is very glowy!
I have the NYX Blur and it works best with a moisturized base. I didn’t like it on my mature skin without the hydration. 💜
Would love to see how to get a perfect red lip, I always end up making a mess!

Hi Allie , the blushes are 😍 ,I’m glad you tried the red one,I also wanted to try red blush but was afraid it would be too dark. I always get confused when I use a mascara with a scoop applicator and I have to google which side to use. The drynesses in the wintertime is terrible,would love to hear recommendations for hydrating products,especially for the lips. Love your new earrings!

I love the lip color, when I (have to) wear a base of matte on the lips, I always put a good hydrating gloss over it :) Your lashes look insanely marvelous! I will be getting the mascara. I have combo skin and the nyx blur made me look so dry and textured! Tried with a couple different primers and powders and it’s not working for me 😩 maybe I’ll try it more during the summer like you said!

Just wondered, I saw your video on an Amazon Enzo Ken advertisement for brushes. Its from a video you made about Rare Beauty brushes. May be nothing but didn't know if you gave permission for this.

I've recently saw that essence has New blushes that I would love to see you try. I just bought one myself today. Also, I agree with everyone that most people are wanting More sexy, Sultry and Smokey Eye looks but very wearable for Valentine's day ❤️❤️❤️. I usually do Smoky browns with a touch of soft metallic simmers like a ColourPop shockers and a Red lipstick. Being a person of color it's a go-to. But maybe, I would love to see a Smoky pink or burgundy with browns eye look, neutral blush and a romantic lipstick or gloss. What do you think?! 😊🥰

Instead of a traditional red lip, I'd love something that centers around a medium reddish-pink lip (can totally be glossy). A different spin on the traditional Valentine look.
After my twins were born, my skin got very dry for a while. Now things have come full circle and my 57 year old skin is pretty dry again. Thank God for dewy foundation and better skin care! Glad to see you back!
