i think that rather than it being about mafuyus parents it refers to mafuyu herself, the blue being how the treatment of her mother has changed her while the crimson would be her true self. in the first chorus, she thinks about the "blue" and how she wishes she could live as her true self. in the second chorus, she talks about the "crimson", and how beautiful she thinks it is and how she wishes it could be seen by "you". we can infer that the "you" she is inferring to is her mother. in the bridge, the colors are mentioned again. first, she talks about how she is still affected by the blue and that she still doesn't quite know who she is. then, there's the line "if it were you, you'd remember the crimson sky you earnestly hid". i think this line is referring to how mafuyus mother buried mafuyus self, and how her mother fails to empathize with that. one more thing i think should be noted is that in the music videos, when she talks about her left hand and the blue it goes to a shot of a young mafuyu holding her mothers hand. she has a sparkle in her eye. this could be referring to how she used to be young and naive to how her mother treated her. in the second prechorus, with her right hand and the crimson, it's still a shot of mafuyu holding her mothers hand. however this time when it cuts to the eye, there is no sparkle, and it's her current self. it's a little harder for me to connect this part with the lyrics, though it may just be playing into the nostalgia factor of mafuyus character. the reason i bring up the music video though is that in both prechoruses she's holding her mothers hand. this is what helps us infer that the "you" she refers to in the second chorus and bridge is her mother. ahh this reply ended up being long!! i just really really really like mafuyu aha
