I can testify that these speakers are awesome. The Bass is excellent because it’s clean and textured. I listen to a lot of Hip-Hop and the Bass is quality, not just quantity. You can drive them hard and they do sound like floorstanders. There are alternative speakers that will give you more bass but won’t imaging as well. I complement these with a single REL T9/X sub. One day, I was playing these hard and they shook the house. My son came downstairs and thought someone was signing in the living room, for real. That’s how good these speakers are. They are expensive but I think they are reasonable, and because they’re made of glass they won’t age like other speakers.
I have heard Codex 2 and Avanti 35, huge difference . Codex 2 is much more detail at mid range and authoritative at base. It is predictable that Spark is very good at small rooms just without one base driver compare to Codex2.
This was the heart of Sinead O'Conner. Unique lyrics- and even when interpretating others music, her phrasing is all her own- with a heart as an engine. A brilliant voice! And Massive attack isn't half bad either. There is a synergy to the writer and music, the speakers and the system as a whole. Impressive.

Dit klinkt heel er goed,zo erg heb ik het nog niet vaak gehoord, top. Ben zeer benieuwd hoe het had geklonken, als er de Van de hul cumulus speaker kabels aan hadden gehangen.
great sound, detailed but not overly so. Great bass from a standmount. How old are these speakers? I don't find much info on AP standmount speakers but have seen some great deals on them on the used market.
Sounds like floorstanding speakers, amazing! Quick question: I am interested in a Pass Labs XP-12. Do you recommend to let in on « On » full time or switch it off when not in use? Thanks.
Isn't it nice? The interlink is more expensive than the speakers are... Does this mean you need a $7000 cable to make these speakers sing? No. But you need to carefully search and match. This was cable was present at the time and out of all that was available to us this one 'did it'. That's why it is sampled this way, these speakers make everything audible and they are merciless for revealing the tiniest imbalance in a setup (or recording). Wait for the review of these speakers, it was quite the audio journey.
In reality an audiophile with a chain like this wouldn’t have this speaker. This speaker is great but should also sound good without gear of the highest grade.
I feel sorry for you. With a good system you are actually able to hear the recording. I have been through this. It’s terrible. No matter what you listen too, it’s the sound of the speakers.
Mind helping me understand "fast"? I plan on going back to your shootouts and watching them again to see if I can get some answers there, but if you have a moment to comment, I would appreciate it. I bought Nilai mono blocks because of this channel....Absolutely love them. Well you know once I put them together correctly. ;-)
Fast means two things: 1. Very quick response to an impulse. 2. The pacing of the music, the perceived speed or tempo of the music, is high. It feels alive and energetic. The effect is that you can hear a good mount of separation between notes, imagine a flamenco guitar player playing a speedy melody, which in turn enables you to keep track of what all the instruments are doing together and separately.
This manufacturer seems to really be getting the tone and texture thing down very well and has my attention now.

I love that song... And Sinead.
@ 0:45, very interesting Bass. Sounds like some other texture I have not heard before on any of your other recordings.
Awesome speakers, and nice recording too.
sounds good, although maybe a bit thick on the bottom ? like to hear those with the nilai
A "mutibit" loudspeaker? Interesting... A very good tonal integrity. And of course it's "fast" (minimal distortions at a high end)
Hear me out, high end bookshelf group test up to 6k🥰😌🤝

Realiseer dat de kabels duurder zijn dan de speakers.... Dat zegt heel erg veel over de kwaliteiten van deze speaker.

Can't wait to play this on my Audio Physic Tempo II's ☺️ I'm sure there is way better, but they sound so nice to me.

The sparks were introduced during high end Munich 2022. The are available for a couple of months I guess.
How hard are these to drive? I have the Musical Fidelity A1 and thinking these might work well as they are 88db.
What laser device are you using for speaker angle and distance measurements?
Thanks!
