I'm not saying they aren't better, but they aren't proving it on the field.
TV wants the best college teams is order to draw viewership. Alabama vs. Georgia draws big ratings. If it had been Alabama vs. Iowa State, no doubt the viewership would have been much lower. How much more proof do you need?
As an ISU/BigXII fan I actually want this to happen. I want the "P2" to each get 4 autobids. And when they do I want the G6, ACC, and BigXII to collectively refuse to attend the CFP. I want them to respond by forming their own 8-slot tournament with the champion of each of the remaining 8 conferences. We can't win the game the SEC/B1G are trying to make us play. The only winning move is not to play. An 8-team tournament with the remaining conferences would be more fair, more entertaining, probably have similar levels of viewership, and some years it will legitimately produce the best team in college football.
This is what the Tier 1 P2 want, namely for the Tier 2 to initiate separate playoffs. They will continue to make intolerable demands until that occurs.
@@Patrick-sg7cm You're right. The ultimate goal of the CFP commission is to bring in the most money possible, which means attracting viewers. Talent on the field only gets you so many extra views. Even if UNLV has a better team than Ole Miss, USC, Mizzou, or Michigan, they'll simply never bring in as many views. It's in the best interest of the CFP commission to make it as easy as possible for those big brands to get in. Make 5 regional 12-team "power" upper conferences each paired with their own regional 12-17 team relegation lower conferences and implement a promotion/relegation model. Every year, bottom 2 teams in upper conference get relegated and the top 2 teams from the lower conference gets promoted. @@samuelrussell5760 what if Alabama went independent…played a bunch of nobodies like New Mexico State , Rutgers etc then only has to “prove it “ in the playoffs ? Do you think that’s fair when other teams have run the gauntlet ?
Dude WVU is 1-0 and you are counting out WVU already. Did you not learn anything from last year. You said they would not win more than 1 game last year. WVU lost to two 4-0 pretty good teams on the road. WVU has not been given the chance to show what they are going to do in the Big 12 except for one game so far. I guess some people never learn. Get your crow plate out. You are going to be eating some crow soon!!! Yum Yum. LOL
Big Tennessee fan here. I love watching SEC football because it is just different than watching almost any other conference. No one else measures up. That being said, I would hate to see the SEC and BIG10 become a "super conference". I love the competition between the different conferences and that would be almost completely lost if each of these conferences got an automatic 4 teams each in the CFP.

I’m making the case that this amounts to collusion and perhaps will open a legal door for the nfl to return to drafting out of HS. I believe that little rule the NFL has in place there will even the play field across the board and then the dynamics change.
The NFL isn’t going to waste its time scouting and signing high school players dum dum
lol the fact that you think college football can’t succeed with 40 top teams and yet the NFL ranks in Billions with only 32 teams 😂😂😂 the BIG and SEC will create their own minor league and the rest can continue being “college” football
Not going to happen Colorado big 12
Big 12 sucks pretty much
HONESTLY - BIG12 looks like an FCS conference this year.
Welp sounds like you're just mad again.....really you're complaining because nothing is going your way then when it doesn't you have yo momma read the comments because you know the comments goes against you btw you're also anti SEC even if your pro Big 12

He doesn't make his momma do anything. His momma reads the comments because I am a huge fan of my son and the Big 12. Hey also.. Drake was born and raised in Arkansas. I raised him on SEC, cornbread, and sweet tea. So.. not sure what your point is.. just came here to say. Bless. Your. Heart.❤
12 team playoffs should be 5 automatic bids from each big 10 & sec because a 9-3 LSU or Michigan team would beat the big 12 champ rn idk if anyone in the acc could beat Oregon or Tennessee
Houston would beat Georgia easily. Cincinnati would beat Penn State.

@@Saintsfan2008 Texas Tech beats Alabama 9 times out of 10.
Maybe, maybe not. If you want to watch SEC and B10 teams play each other, we have the regular season for that. The purpose of the CFP is to prove which conferences have the best teams. You do that by letting in the best teams from each conference. If you just assume the SEC has the best teams even though the best SEC and B10 teams don't play the best B12 teams, the CFP has no purpose. The top B12 teams haven't lost to any non-B12 teams this season. There is no on field evidence that they aren't the best. If you are so sure the B10 and SEC are the best, why are you so afraid of playing the B12 champions in the playoffs?

This is a good thing the big 12 and ACC suck. The majority of fans do not watch their games. The majority of fans would rather watch an SEC school go against a big 10 school in the playoffs where it matters hopefully you old people will understand this, so young people can enjoy the sport that we want to watch in the future.
Found the turd you want that go watch the NFL.
